No words can describe what is being done to our park.  With Americana now gone and the rest of the park just being trashed around, just amazing.  All the more reason not to go to any CF park ever again.

The kids & I were at WWK on Wednesday, & could see what was left of the Happy Harbor area from the tubes landing.

The kids were not sure what to think, I think they were having a hard time visualizing it they way it was before, hey they just turned 6 & 8.  When I was pointing out where the rides were that they used to ride, you could see that's when the recognition was sinking in & fact that there were still some recognizable parts laying around helped.
What got me was looking at the area from there, it looked so,  so small, yet when you were actually down there in it (when the rides were there) it didn't seem small or crowded with rides.   Yeah I know it would look smaller being up high, but the tubes landing really isn't that high up.

I had a chat with a lady on the stairs up to Liquid Lightening (or the "Toilet Bowl of Horror or Doom" as my 6 year old calls it & she loves riding it) from the NE area, she & her son & daugher would come to GL a few times a year.  She had mentioned that looking across the lake, it feels like everything is still going on , that nothing has changed, until you see the Ferris wheel with it's cars missing.
I have to agree, to look across the lake most of it still looks good, then you notice "parts" are gone or partially gone, it's a big punch in the gut.

I don't remember hearing about how much they got for the bridge, or who bought it, anyone know

It is so amazing how fast the park is going down! I mean if we look at the last week  and a half, it is at record pace! I know that it is what the plan is, but I know it is hard to enjoy the water park knowing how the other side is turning into  rubble! Part of me goes to the water park to enjoy the water and part of me goes to get my last looks at my happy place.

when i was at the park i just couldn't have a good time, i kept looking over and remembering what was.  toward the end of the day i went over by the bridge and just sat there thinking and listening.   a couple times i swore i could catch a quick sound of people screaming on the coasters.

lovely, cornhole...just what WWK really needed...what an amazing paint job! *sigh* Its really shocking to see how fast and how careless they are with what they tear apart. I know your tired of hearing me say that....but I can't stop...its still shocking me day after day. Sad

Judging by the first picture, Villain's turnaround is starting to come down.  Just shocking and my favorite ride in the whole park will soon be no more.
