What exactly is ancy? Ohhhh, you mean antsy!  LOL, sorry.... I can't wait to ride the new Ravine Flyer at Waldameer, other than that, this season seems like its over before it starts without GL being here.

Something wrong with using slang terms? And your excited for Ravine Flyer? Bleh, looks like a boring one to me. And I am about to say something Ray P would say. Their site looks totally boring and cheap! Sure doesn't look like a fun park to me, but whatever enjoy your time there.Smile

I also cant wait to ride Ravine Flyer. Also on my list of must rides this summer is Fahrenheit (Hershey) , Dark Night (SFGaM) , Flying Turns (Knoebels), Moto Coaster (Darien Lake), and Steel Hawg (Indiana Beach). OMG - look there are other parks to visit other than CF!

CD - who questions an "ansty" coaster fanatic that has (err sorry had) Gemini on their top 5 list of favorite coasters but thinks Ravine Flyer looks boring.

PS - hurry and think of a great response cuz I know you will.

Farenheit is nothing but a copy off of Maverick. It always seems like other parks like to steel CP's rides. And OMG you are excited to ride the Dark Night?? Looks pretty lame. Oh and Flying Turns *snicker*. Well too bad you are missing out on Thunderhawk, Dominator, Behemoth, and some CP action. I will be spending my summer at CP. This is my first summer with a season pass so I am excited!!

And yes in case you haven't noticed those were my top 5 CP coasters. Gemini is a pretty intense ride.

Fahrenheit looks a bit overrated... sorry, it's kind of boring for my tastes. Did he seriously put Gemini and intense in the same sentence?!?! I mean seriously?

Fahrenheit may be over rated but so was Maverick. I mean its a good ride and all but I am not sure it lived up to its hype. Also Fahrenheit may be similar to Maverick but not the same, no more so than Wicked Twister was the same as Superman - ooopps, CP copied a ride from someone else??? Could it be that CP was worried about another park stealing away some of its business??

And yes CPboy did say that Gemini is an intense ride and also rated it in his top 5. Kind of drops him down a few notches in the coaster "antsy" fanatic category, doesn't it?

Yeah Maverick isn't all that it's cracked up to be... Superman was very innovative, CF kinda stole that one, and screwed it up! Ragin Wolf Bobs was a bit more interesting that Gemini, I don't buy the whole hype around Gemini... it's kind of boring by today's standards.

See, Wicked Twister was deliberately built to "one-up" SFO, They make you think otherwise because "there's another twist in there"... Honestly, after riding Maverick I wouldn't wait past 30 minutes for it.. and it seems many other people feel the same way...

Wonder why Coasterdad deleted my post? Shall I rephrase it?

Coasterdad told me that he didn't ride Maverick and that everyone he talked to said it was a great ride.

And about Gemini, it is a great ride and it is my number 5. I am still a coaster lover. Something wrong with liking a family/adult ride?

Edit: Oh yeah and I also said that Superman and WT are totally different, WT is twirly on both sides and Superman twirled on one side and went straight on the other and stopped at the top.

You're right it's a family ride, but alot of the times when I went up there they weren't racing and isn't that kind of the point of the ride?

Well they don't race because you need 4 extra employees. Why take 4 extra employees when it's not crowded? But it doesn't really matter because most of the time it does race.

Let me note: most of these days are Saturdays or Peak Season days (peak season = means staffing isn't a problem)

Gemini isn't bad but it's become a big yawn for me. I don't get anything out of it anymore.

Maverick is great but there is no way Farenheit is a copy of it. Who cares if the first drop is steeper than CP's ride. Maverick is about ground hugging turns that enhance the sense of speed. Farenheit is about inversions.

Superman and Wicked Twister are not different - just a slight variation of the exact same ride type. Never could understand why CP built a similar ride to one that was a little over an hour away given the capacity an Impulse has.

BTW, if CPboy thinks Ravine Flyer looks boring he'll sure as heck think Voyage is boring.

Sure Gemini was an intense coaster back, when it was first built in 1978.
Also Wicked Twister is the same as Superman only with an extra twist.
For intense racing coasters, The Racer at Kennywood by far surpasses Gemini plus they actually race, then there's the dueling coasters at Hershey, Thunder and Lightening they also race. Isn't that the whole point of building racing coasters to have them race????

I, myself was very disappointed with Maverick. It's a good coaster but it definitely did not live up to all its hype.
