My parents don't even go to amusement parks. I only usually go with my friends to CP. My mom will go only once over the summer. CP has great customer service, I always find the food amazing, and the rides ROCK!! _________________ Cedar Point-The best park on the planet!

CP really isn't that amazing - its good, but NOT amazing, you really need to deal with that.
...and if you find CP food amazing you really need help. |

I am wondering if anybody knows where I can get food of this quality at CP? Also, the last thing I want at an amusement park as I wait in the hot sun all day is Chinese food! _________________ Greed is what caused GL's demise and that just makes me sick. Try Breakwater Cafe. Very classy restaurant that Kennywood would never have. _________________ Cedar Point-The best park on the planet!

I can get Johnny Rockets and Panda Express outside the park for a lot less than at cp.
As for Amusement park foods, I am craving Pirogies from Parkside Cafe and an Italian Sausage from the Pagoda. Both locations found at Kennywood. I am also craving Belgian waffles from Geauga Lake in the 90's. _________________ Confidentiality is telling one person at a time. |

If someone thinks that Breakwater Cafe is classy then they apparently have no class themselves. I have been to that fine establishment and only one person spoke English. Most modern McDonald's have more class than the inside of that place. If that wasn't bad enough the food was way overpriced for fast food served in a restaurant setting.
I will agree with one thing though, it sure has a great view! _________________ Greed is what caused GL's demise and that just makes me sick. Lets do what we can to rat out Kinzel - hes a snake.

I'm sure the way this thread has degenerated is exactly what VGPlay had in mind when he posted his well-written Trip Report.
Just for the sake of comparison to certain other amusement parks, here are the 2008 Waldameer (you know, the park this thread was originally about) admission fees.
Parking: Free
Rides Only: $19.45
Water Park Only: $14.95
Rides and Water Park: $21.95
Discounted Combo Tickets are available to AAA members at select Northeast Ohio offices. |

I'd say it varies, Katie. In my opinion, the pizza is pretty average, but the chicken fingers and curly fries combo ($7.15 which includes a drink) was good and it was cooked when I ordered it. They also have burgers, shakes, fried waffles, (again in my opinion) very good fresh-cut fries if the stand is open... it was not this past Saturday, mozzarella sticks, and the unique Apple Fries with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. The park's fudge and cookies are made fresh daily as well.
In any case, there is something for everyone's tastes and while it's not as cheap as Knoebels, it's still cheaper than "certain other" amusement parks.

Great thanks! I can look forward to spending my money on GOOD food rather then crap at that certain park.
Will take lots of pics and do a photo TR over the weekend. Should be lots of fun!
Oh yeah CFVIP....I can afford CP, we just bought a new van, if I can afford that I can afford CP, I just choose not to.
Besides, I would rather drive 8 hours to Holiday World and eat up 4 tanks of gas then to drive the 90 minutes to CP and get crapped on by people that don't give a damn about my patronage. No thanks. You couldn't pay me to step into CP. _________________ Katie
