Thanks for the reply, CPboy. Unfortunately, I asked about what made you think of the park as dirty or run down and this was the only one of your points that addressed my questions. I'll give you it, too, as that did look like a piece of trash on the right hand side. It may have been a drain cover, but I don't think so.
Other than that, the park is very clean and the rides are very well kept, which is what made me question your run-down comment. In my experience, your assessment is way off.
I personally loved the video, especially the Whacky Shack stuff. Just great and I thank the poster for taking the time to complete it and make it available to all of us.

Here's another one of those things that "some people" do just to piss others off and rile them up. "I've never been to park x, but it sucks because the pictures and/or video I have seen suck too." Based on that logic, Carowinds, California's Great America, Valleyfair, and the California Soak City parks all suck balls because I have never been there, but the pictures make them all look crappy. Not to mention no one has said anything good about CGA's Grizzly, so I guess it really must be a P.O.S.
But Jeff has a novel concept. Making educated comments abut a park that one has actually visited rather than just making assumptions like "certain people" on these boards. Unfortunately, I doubt this way of doing things will ever catch on. "Some people" just like to get a rise out of others.

When I say carnival look I mean run down. As I was going through the video though I just had to bash the rides. And you people call yourselves coaster enthusiasts?? You want to be a coaster enthusiast, go to Coastermania.
So let's go through all of Waldameer's coasters.
So we got that wooden one (not Ravine Flyer). It just looked OK, I mean it could be fun but looked more of a boring one. Probably the same intensity of BS.
Ravine Flyer is the most intense. In my opinion it looks boring. I would take a ride on TTD, Maverick, or MF any day.
The one car ride that spins and goes down the hills. Looks like WildCat. I would never ride this ride because I would get sick from all the spinning. Does not look enjoyable AT ALL!
And then that kiddie coaster. Well obviously that will be a zzzzz.
So is that all??? _________________ Cedar Point-The best park on the planet!

I'm not debating the quality of the rides with you. Based on the little that I know of you, I agree that you would think most of the rides at Waldameer are boring. You have a certain set of rides you enjoy and I'm glad for you. Have fun with them.
My question, which you already answered, was about the cleanliness and upkeep of the park that you challenged. That is more of an objective statement that you made and you were not able to back up the statement. That's all I was getting at.
Anyway, great video. I've watched it several times.

| Waldamere is a great park. I visited it many years ago and since then it has grown. Another great park that is better then Cedar Point is Knoble Park in eastern pa. It has free parking and admission. Also two great coaster. It has many great family ride. Soon they will be opening there version of the Flying Turns. I have not see one since Euclid Beach Closed. Good Luck and have a good season Knoble and Waldamere. Cedar Poiint has gone down hill since Kinzel became CO of CF. Peole who say CP is great have been brain washed. The point has gotten noise with all the coaster and the Paramount parks will become the same. CF says they do not cater to familys. Only to the thrill seekers. They will have a lost of attendance this year big time. |

Thanks for the comments everyone, glad you enjoyed my video. The Whacky Shack was the surprise of the trip. It was so quirky and fun that I'd say it is my second favorite ride in the park.
Being two weeks late I'm not sure if anyone still cares but I have my pictures uploaded with comments.

I'll try and be more timely with my report and pictures for my trip to Hersheypark next week. I'm excited about it (the trip, not being more timely. ) |

| You took some nice pictures of the park. I haven't been to Waldameer in a long time. I have to go back in August with my group and ride Ravine Flyer 2. It looks really fun from the pictures I've seen of it. I like the tunnels also. The blue tunnel over the road are they going to enclose it with a wood tunnel eventually? I saw pictures on RCDB and it looks like a fun coaster. |
