RACCOON SIGHTING AND A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA (modified)
In the "Is Pepsi Plunge's Days Numbered" thread in the forums it was mentioned about a little raccoon that has been hanging around the ride for the past thirty plus years. There is evidence that it does exist. The animal is located next to the straight section of the flume that runs alongside the ride platform before turning to go to the first small hill. It is very visible. I'd like to thank the forum poster known as villainmechanic for making this possible. Now for something extra.....
An anonymous person e-mailed me with a photo of what appears to be Steel Venom seats in a warehouse at its new location, getting ready for some rehab. That's all I'm going to say about this. |

| Hey Gunkey, on the webcam today there are two signs that are visible. Did you happen to catch what those said during your visit to the park today? I thought the shape on the one sign looked like Ohio so i figured it may have to due with the Ohio Lottery since they sponser the park. I could be totally off though. Did you see these? |

The Ohio Lottery folks were having their company picnic at the park I believe.

The Ohio Lottery was having something going on today at the park. A lot of folks wearing "Make Me Famous, Make Me Rich" shirts.
The other sign was directing folks who wanted to see the PEANUTS Rockin' Party show to the area directly to the left of the main gate as the Power City Stage was having an Ohio Lottery spin the wheel and win prizes thing going on.
I arrived at the park a little after 4 so I didn't get to see any of the Lottery stuff going on.

Cool lookin racoon, never knew it was there! Also the pictures of Steel Venom seem to be true...as when the rumor started. (Especially when the electric work was being worked on and the new zoning to the height of venom)
