Konnichiwa amigos,

every time I reminisce about SFWoA I can't help but chuckle at the bright future we all hoped the park would eventually attain. Here are some silly plans that SFWoA had in mind before they cleaned out the fishtanks:

THE LOST WORLD RIVER RIDE
Remember this silly thing? Like some pyramid ride where you jungle cruise and look at birds and tigers and stuff. Could've been rad. Would've been situated in the walkway between the Life and Ride side

THAT HYPER COASTER
Who was supposed to build this again? Chance Morgan I think, and the lift hill was supposed to be adjacent to the Ski Stadium and whatever. Oh man, this long sought after hyper coaster, what a silly idea...

KILLER WHALES
Well there was Shouka, Shamu's replacement, but she was supposed to get a partner from some park in Brazil or somewhere. I remember the whale trainers saying crap like, "Shouka's getting a friend soon, we just gotta fill out all that paperwork." Silly, silly, six flags

CEDAR POINT
"We actually drove past Cedar Point to get here, because of the variety" Hohohohohohohoho

SIX FLAGS IS SO SILLY
SILLY SILLY SILLY
BUT NOT AS SILLY AS BILLY
...SPEHN

Ha..don't know who you are, but it is quite funny. Wouldn't of been funny had they actually done what they said they were going to do!

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAID THEIR SILLNESS ISNT AS BAD AS CEDAR FAIRS.

REMOVING OF RIDES -REMOVING STEEL VENOM,X-FLIGHT,MONORAIL AND NOT PUTTING ANYTHING BACK IN STUPID AND SILLY.

FALSE PROMISES-DOMINATOR AND THUNDER HAWK WILL DEFINATLEY STILL BE HERE NEXT YEAR. OH AND THE PARK WONT CLOSE.

THE WHOLE CHBANG-THEY CLOSE DOWN THE MOST IMORTANT THING IN THE PARK...THE AMUSMENT PARK (IT MIGHT NOT OF DONE GREAT BUT ITS WHAT GEAUGA LAKE WAS,NOT A FREAKING WATER PARK)

WATER PARK-ITS SO SMALL I COULD GET IT DONE IN A HALF HOUR.

THE ANIMAL SIDE-THEY GOT RIDE OF ALL THE ANIMALS AND SCREWED UP BY BUILDING A SUCKY A** WATERPARK.

ROTTING OF RIDES-LETTING THE WATER PARK ROT AWAY WITH EVERYONE TO SEE,PUTTING FENCES UP EVERYWHERE,RAGING WOLF BOBS LOOKS LIKE IT HASNT RAN FOR 10 DECADES PRACTICALLY.

EMPLOYMENT-IT SUCKED A**!

SO WHEREVER YOUR FREAKING BRAIN IS GET IT BACK SO IT CAN SMACK YOU OVER THE HEAD AND REALIZE THAT SIX FLAGS WAS WAY BETTER.

BY THE WAY THE EMPLOYMENT SUCKED BECAUSE NO ONE WANTED TO BE THERE CAUSE MY FREIND WORKED THERE AND SHE SAID THE PARK TREATED THEM LIKE CRAP!

The Lost World idea was first brought to light right after Six Flags combined both parks in 2001. They made it sound like quite an extensive attraction.

I just got back from Kentucky Kingdom (yes, I bought my first 6Flags season pass in 5 years). They are running into many of the problems SFWOA did. Some great rides and attractions, but doing it too fast! cf killed Geauga Lake with greed, 6Flags over-extended itself. It had plans to make it work, not to close it and steal the rides!

i remember the plans for the lost river adventure. i was at the bainbridge township board meeting when six flags unveiled it and other plans for the area between RWB and happy harbor. i was also invited to go on a walk thru with a councilman at the time to see exactly where, how, and when things would be. it wasnt long after that we all found out just how deep the financial debt was for six flags. they had originally said it was to take 3 years for all the plans. the first year we did see a small building and a zebra, some landscaping and some markers where a cage was to be for the lions.
six flags kentucky, i was there too just 2 weeks ago. the place was freshly painted, looking good too! i rode T2 and had a moment for GL and thunderhawk. T2 needs a paint job though. i looked like it was the only thing not painted yet. twisted sisters were down, but thunder road was great. last week i was at six flags america. i was thrilled to see for myself that the park is not as bad as i have always heard. the staff was actually friendly, food was ok, for six flags! and the coasters were running (before and after the storms). they need a lot of paint at this park! the park was very clean though. six flags st louis is next week. havent been there in 2 years. 2 new coasters to ride! i will be at the auction, hope to get some pics and maybe some memories, signage, etc.
god, i miss my Geauga Lake Amusement Park!  dave

I do remember all those "silly" plans. Unfortunately it grew too big too fast and due to mismanagement it as alll scrapped.

SFWoA plans actually weren't that silly, I think if they followed through with everything it would have been serious competition for that place to the west. Rides on one side, a nice waterpark, animals and shows on the other, and a nice resort hotel with a small indoor water park.

So you really think CF buying GL was a conspiracy theory? Somebody knew what could have happened.

I think Six Flags was going to put in a "working valcano"  too.

I miss that place more then the CF Geauga Lake, I liked all the old animal shows, X flight and just about everything else there.
