Today I went to the park for a few hours. Went in on the water park side to see the park the absolute busiest it has ever been. Kids, kids and more kids everywhere. There was a Sugardale meatpacking picnic which helps, but to my amazement, the coasters didn't have much of a wait at all. The lazy river was chaos. It wasn't very lazy with all those peeps in it.

Head Spin wasn't running when I was across the street at Speedway buying a water, even said at the gate that it was down, but I got there, and it was going. Rode twice. Then went to the Big Dipper and rode three times and enjoyed every one! I've figured out how to get a good ride on that one finally, either that or they had the trims on real hard. It's front cars, no seatbelt, pushing back in the seat, AIRTIME!

Rode the Double Loop and the Villan and my old friend Dominator all once, rode Texas Twister again and was a great ride when totally loaded. It was also supposed to be down and indeed saw it running test runs. They must have just painted something, because it reeked of fresh paint and there was a spray mist of yellow paint on everything. Found a quater when I got off and promply dropped it right between the boards going out. It didn't even bounce off the boards, chances of that happening are one in a million! I should have played a game immediately after :)

The Cadillac Cars were busy, so went to Big Dipper again for 2 more great airtime filled rides and went to the Headspin and DENIED! It was down again, but on the road home, it was running again.

Awesome to see the midway packed and the water park super packed. What a difference from Friday night.

The Big Dipper was the real thrill, it was feeling like the Blue Streak used to feel before it was dumbed way down. Even Villan was pretty decent, and Double Loop, different car, much smoother ride.

I was there about 3:30 pm and wanted to be back home by about seven so I left about 6:15.  It was hard to make my way over the bridge because the most people I've seen were on it. The waterside picnic pavilion was packed and they were in the midst of giving out prizes.

When I left there was a lot less people on the bridge but it seemed like more were in the amusement park side, but the water park still had lines, just not to the bottom of the steps like when I came in.

I really had great rides on Big Dipper, I almost didn't want to ride anything else.  BD moved up on my coaster ratings a lot after today.

I went to GL on the 29th too and the lazy river was packed. Everything was running smooth in WWK. I wish I could say the same for the ride side. Dominator was down twice. Texas Twister was down twice, Head Spin was down, They evacuated us out of the line on Thunderhawk. I don't know what they were doing but they were testing the trains and it was all going perfectly fine. The rides need better maintanence I hate to say it.
