I know this has been talked to death in other forums but just this past week I had several non enthusiast types tell me they heard GL is going to close - at least the rides side. I find it interesting that several people who don't know each other each tell me the same story when from the looks o things GL is having its best season ever. This might be why it would have been a good idea to actually tell the public before they took out two rides why they had to remove them.
Where could this rumor have started and why?

If Geauga Lake did close I would blame nobody but Cedar Fair and Dick Kinzel. They did everything they could to destroy the park. I have said it over and over again. There is NO reason this park should close. Considering the shortened season that they have now. There is also no reason for this either. They could have two weekends of Oktoberfest. They could have a Halloween Haunt. Dick Kinzel is to blame for all of this. He was afraid of Geauga Lake taking away people from his beloved Cedar Point and now he might lose them both. Great Job Dick. Go into retirement already before you ruin Cedar Point and Kings Island too. |

Sorry but am I the only person who read that article and thinks that the guy who wrote it is an idiot? If he would of actually gone to the park he may have seen some of the improvements that CF actually made to the park. _________________ Yarp!

i agree Masked_Maverick, i was saying some gullible people probably believed the guy who doesn’t know anything about the park and i bet he hasn’t been there since SF owned the park. _________________

^ I know. I wasn't trying to attack you or anything but that wasn't the first article I read from that guy to which I thought he was an idiot. _________________ Yarp!

It amazes me how much the GP would believe one idiot. Maybe CF should write an article saying how great GL is and whats really going on.
Now that would be a great PR move! |

I should. I should go to the Tribune Chronicle (the newspaper in my area) and ask them if I could write an article and tell people to get out to GL. I could sign it annonymous too. It would really get that place bumping. |

I just called the Tribne chronicle and the editor wasn't in his office so I'll call back later. I want to get it in the paper so bad. |

Cedar Fair won't do anything that is not good for the community around the park, the employees, and the investors. I don't think we have anything to worry about.
Positive articles about Geauga Lake are a great idea. |
