Alright, I know I've been posting about this in anything goes, however, now that it is finally out today, I felt I should make it more known.

The feature length Documentary, DESTINATION, is now online! Maybe it will refresh some of your memories of Geauga Lake and also help you remember what greedy pricks Cedar Fair really are. Also, it will show you an all-new option that mirrors the old funtime Geauga Lake days.

The movie is playable in the episode guide on rinseandspin.com and also livevideo.com/liveshow

I will never forgive CF for their actions and this movie is dedicated to their downfall. I got an email from the coaster crew the other day, inviting me to ride Dominator on media day. Uh......no. What, take a ride in a corrupt coaster? No thank you.

I will be seeing all of you in the new season of The Idlewild Show, starting May 30th! It's all going down at www.rinseandspin.com

DVDs of the DESTINATION film are now being printed so those who asked for one will be receiving it within a few weeks. For those concerned, the DVD version of the film is the high quality original cut. Not the stripped down, washed out web version. The DVDs are 100% free.

Well i guess that just goes to show that this situation has different levels of impact on everyone. I for one will never step foot into or onto another Cedar Fair owned property or ride ever again. Geauga Lake's ride park just meant too much to me.

Everytime i would think of even going to a CF park, the only thing that i think about is what they did to Geauga Lake. How can I enjoy a day at one of their parks if thats how I feel?

At some point my emotions would probably take over and I would end up reaming a CF corp. member out. I don't want that. No one wants that. So I will be having my adventures elsewhere this summer.

When I am serious about something, believe me, I'm serious. Cedar Fair will never have my business again. Even if it's free.

You seriously just moved this back to anything goes? There is NO MORE geauga lake to discuss. It's freakin' dead man. Anything that deals with it should be allowed in there. This film deals with it. You really think it matters anymore?

Oh wait, there is a sad excuse for a stand-alone waterpark with a dismal 6 attractions. 6 freakin' attractions and expects to stand alone? 1. Thunder Falls 2. Coral Cove 3. Tidal Wave Bay 4. Liquid Lightning 5. Riptide Run 6. Splash Landing.

I'm sorry but a stand-alone waterpark should be a little more like what they originally planned. It was a nice little tropical water section add-on to Geauga Lake, but now it's just a joke.

Geauga Lake is dead, and it's finally sinking in hard now that this time of year is here, so forget all of you, I'm on my way to bigger and better things. Peace

Really looking forward to seeing Destination and its take on the Geauga Lake closing.  I think the Idlewild Show is a great idea too.  Not only is it a great park, it and all the other small parks out there can use all the support they can get.

I sometimes cannot believe that the Geauga Lake and Sea World traffic reached an all time peak just 8 years ago, and now they are both gone.  It's a sobering reminder of the need to support the local parks, help keep them going.

With only a few minutes left until May 23 and the bid deadline are upon us, here are some thoughts on Destination.

It is ironic that Destination starts out with video of Geauga Lake from outside the park during the 2007 pre-season that looks a lot like the park does now, and will look, until after the auction in June when deconstruction will start in earnest.

Better than that, Destination captures some moments and scenes from Geauga Lake's final season. The first half of the film is basically a group of friends walking around with a video camera enjoying the park. Just ordinary days in the park, up until what has to be one of the most disturbing plot twists of the last 15 years halfway through.

Then there is anger, and a good explanation of why some people are done with Cedar Fair because of the way Geauga Lake was closed. I suspect there are a lot more people out there who feel that way, and will be even more if the Big Dipper is demolished.

Where do we go from there? The cast of this film has found a good answer to that. It happens to be Idlewild in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. It is not a clone of Geauga Lake, but has plenty of things that will remind you of they way GL was before the downward spiral started -- Caterpillar, Spider, Scrambler, Tilt-a-whirl, Flying Scooters, a classic wood coaster, oldtime kiddie rides, a western village, classic Carousel, trees, even a wood bridge over the water connecting two sides of the park.

I like the answer, and the message. We will never forget Geauga Lake. While we are remembering it there are other fine parks out there to enjoy, and support.
