GL was a beautiful park in the fall, especially towards the western area. The view of the changing leaves from the top of Americana was stunning.
On a side note, Kings Island is also beautiful in the fall. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

...and to think we could all be enjoying those views today if a certain senile old man hadn't.....

Anyone have pics from Halloween in '03 (SFWoA's last)? I was thinking the other day about how us full-timers had to pitch all the hay bails after the place closed. And pumpkins....at LEAST a thousand of them. I stuffed a bunch in my trunk for the seeds. A few days later a fellow mechanic named Bob Pierce and myself were going to ride Serial Thriller before we took it of the tracks. So the other mechanics (Brown, Spencer, Zimmerman) sent us, with Bob holding a big pumpkin on his lap. But as soon as the ride slung us upward after the bottom of the lift hill, that thing flew out of his arms, up in the air....and smashed on the station roof. Scared the crap out of the other guys. Fun! I think i counted 11 pumpkins in the 26 pics above. _________________ Somewhere.... whales, dolphins, penguins, hotties in wetsuits, Kieran Burke, and George Millay ....are laughing at Cedar Fair. |
