Not so much. Six Flags Astroworld closed on October 31st, 2005 and was leveled by mid March 2006, as seen in the photo below.

| They are the ones who made the website, not me. I never said it was wrong to be upset about the park. Relax man, don't shoot the messenger. |

I guess most of you missed the whole sarcasm thing.
From the bottom of the main page: "In case you're too dense to figure it out, this site is purely satirical." |

Um... ok?
Skyglider, hopefully something like the Santa's Village auction could happen at Geauga Lake. I have to think that some of the more vocal people would take it upon themselves to "crash the party", as they say, which would be too bad. I guess we'll find out soon enough! |

Are you sure? I was told the auction would be private, by invite only. |

Sigh... Ray, please tell me where I said agreed or disagreed with you. Looks to me like I didn't offer my opinion... are you are just looking to start a fight with anyone on here?
Relax man, it's just a brochure. |

You know Ray, you are absolutely right, you think the Brochure Sucks.
Is there really anything more that needs to be said?
Well anyway, this site continues to give me a good laugh every now and then. I look forward to the next debacle over what Cedar Fair has done wrong, and seeing everyone tell each other they are also wrong. |

This site should win an award for the amount of mis-information posted.
Star Trek the Experience is not owned by Cedar Fair. It is managed by Cedar Fair, similar to the management contract previously held to run Camp Snoopy at Mall Of America. Cedar Fair opted not to renew the Camp Snoopy contract, and the owners later turned it into Nick Universe. Life went on.
Whether or not Cedar Fair renews their contract to manage Star Trek has little do to with whether Star Trek continues to operate. |

CNN iReport website is open to anyone on the internet to post any news story or editorial. As taken from the website: "CNN does not vet or verify their authenticity or accuracy before they post."
I wouldn't exactly call this "National Coverage by CNN"so much as someone who just wanted to post the article to their website. The fact is someone could just as easily post an article saying "Cedar Fair has no plans to demolish Big Dipper". |

Dodgems- The cars were manufactured by a company called Duce, the rest of the building was made in-house.
El Dorado was manufactured by Weber, and it was a 1001 Nachts model. |

Adventure Island Tampa Fl: $35.95
Cedar Point's Soak City: $29.99
All three Knott's Soak Cities: $27.99
The Beach Water Park: $27.99
Oceans Of Fun: $26.95
What the heck is so unreasonable about 23.95? If you're trying to make comparisons, consider the fact that the gate price for the last three seasons has been an absolute steal.
And the other thing no one seems to mention is the 44.95 season pass with free parking. HELLO! It pays for itself in less than 2 visits! Please tell me any other waterpark in the US that has season passes that low! That's right, even Pioneer is $50, and you still have to pay for parking! It's obvious they are looking to get alot of season pass holders- not single day admissions.
There is just no pleasing some of you folks, but it's not like it matters, because I doubt any of you will actually be going anyway. |

This site has turned into a steaming pile of crap where the members just call everyone else a liar, moron or brainwashed fan boy. Everyone has their own opinion of what has taken place over the last several months, but really now, what is any of this accomplishing?
If you're pissed off, by all means let Cedar Fair know by spending your hard earned dollar somewhere else. If you think protesting and starting petitions will help as well, go for it. But this reckless name calling and blind finger-pointing as to who is at fault serves no purpose. The park is still closed, the rides are getting shipped out, and the people who you think should be fired continue to go into work everyday. The only thing the mudslinging has accomplished is to lower the I.Q. of every single person who reads it.
Geauga Lake Today was a great site, but by the actions of many on here, has been smeared with a giant brown turd. Congratulations on a job well done with your efforts to save Geauga Lake. |
