Here's another short verse that I did a long time ago; sorry, no picture to go with it. The painting I did that inspired the verse belongs to one of my sister-in-laws and I have no photo of it. Just imagine that you are looking at a place in the high country of the Rocky Mountains with high peaks rising across a lake right after the first snowfall of the year:

The First Snowfall

Weather adheres to the top of the continent.
You see at the distant summits
A gathering of clouds from which there emanates
The true delineations of change.
They reflect the seasonal character of the landscape;
A most intricate image of the coming winter
Brought on by the first snowfall of the year.
