Hello, all -
my name is Rike. I am one of the charter members of this group and was recently "advanced" to "Personal Complaint Director" here at Geeks. If you have any complaints about this board or this group, bring them to me. You can e-mail, PM, IM - I'm here for you and I will do my best to make you happy. Unfortunately, this only applies to GG&MG, not to your homelife: I'm not a marriage counselor
I think we have a great group of people here at Geeks and I'm looking forward to a wonderful New Year for all of us.

Hi,
I'm wc. I'm more into woodworking, & woodturning than computers. I just use the computer for wood mb's, but, find myself coming here, to keep the computer fit enough, to go to the wood forums.
Glad the new board is finally up, & running now! Thanks to all that have made this new MB what it is, & what it will become!! Looks like it is going to be a Winner, for sure!
Mery Christmas to all, & a Happy New Year! _________________ Thanks!!

Hi y'all
My name is Linda. I am a wife, mom and new mom of a baby schnoodle. I love primitive crafting and really crafting of all types. I love my computer and love learning. I want to learn to make graphics and web sets and such. I know most of you and you are great friends. I did work for a tele-communication company until I was diagnosed with a Neuro-muscular disorder. I am at home now and I still craft when I can. I love this forum and my craft forums. I am not as smart as the rest of you but I'm sure willing to help anyone I can or send them to those that can.
One day I hope to grow up and be a SUPER GEEK just like most of you!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL
Praying for a Blessed New Year for you as well
Linda |

Hi there,
My name is Samantha. I too was recently “advanced” and hope to do my best for all here.
My web site is named after a Guyanese dish, ‘cause I'm a born Guyanese however I grew up in Venezuela. A couple of years ago I had a change of heart, so to speak, and studying the art of fine cooking,... not that I couldn’t cook (I always cooked great since as a kid) but wanted to work in a professional kitchen and with a dream to open my own kitchen one day.
You’ll find me mostly in the “Funny stuff” section cause I’m a bit quirky too as well as in the “Food and Recipe”, though many here are closet chefs.
The people here at this board are from all walks of life, with all sorts of experience. It never ceases to amaze me. I love learning from each and every single one here and hope you will too.
We do like to consider this one big family and perhaps that is the reason you might find a tone of familiarity between us. Hope you’ll join us too.
The motto here is that there are no dumb questions or too many. The people here are really great and will try to help and give you all support needed.
Welcome & Happy 2007 _________________

Hi! My name is Ingrid. I registered at GG&MG soon after it started. I worked at the Head Office of Canada's largest bank. Staff benefits were good but the stock markets were a lot better , so I decided to stop work early, even though I enjoyed working and enjoyed my job.
That was 16 months ago. I bought a computer right after which changed my life. I like to check out the evangelical Christian websites.
I was born in Trinidad, West Indies but lived in Canada most of my life.
I find GG&MG to be a very warm and friendly place and am happy to be part of the family.

Hi,
I'm Repa - it's the name my granddaughter gave me when she first started talking because she couldn't say "Grandpa," and it kind of stuck.
I am an administrator here at GG&MG and I enjoy helping and teaching people. Samantha (pepperpot) says I remind her of a professor she once had - I hope that's good (lol)! I did teach Statistics and Management Science at the Air Force Academy from 1979 to 1981. I also taught a computer course part-time at Aurora Community College in Aurora, Colorado for 12 years. Teaching was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
I am currently retired since January 1, 2002: from the Air Force in 1981 after more than 22 years of service, and from 2 Aerospace companies where I worked for the next 20 years (11 years and 10 years respectively) after I left the Air Force Academy in 1981. I was an IBM mainframe programmer/analyst for most of my working career, involved in maintaining the software of a large-scale computer system. I built, maintained and operated a software simulator of overhead communications systems used to conduct "what if" studies. I was also involved in the integration of large-scale computer systems at a large government facility. I didn't get into the use, operation and maintenance of PCs until about 6 years ago, and not passionately until about 2 years ago. My hope is that here at GG&MG, I can help others learn what I have learned about computers and computer security and applications, and am still learning from reading and from others here and on the internet.
My current hobbies are photography and photographic restoration. I am also a collector of fine art objects - mostly glass, but some pottery, and a few prints and paintings.
I am married to "Grannyfranny," one of our members, who is affectionately known as "Granny" to her grandchildren, and to many people on other forums, one of which she is an administrator. We will be celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary on January 4, 2007; she is the love of my life! _________________ Repa

Hi, my first intro got lost so here goes again.
I am Mrs. Repa! He is also the love of my life!!!!! Maybe that's why I keep him! This is the only forum that we both belong to.
I don't really know much about computers but he keeps mine going,,,,
I like to PLAY!
I am a member of some health and craft forums.
I do the health forums because I have a rare form of Psoriasis and have just recently found something that helps me.
I do the craft forums because I love to quilt and crochet but do some other crafts also,,,,,,just whatever I feel like doing. |

Hi everyone,
My name is Geoff AKA Goofrey
I have just come over from Excoboard.
Thanks for inviting me, I have not been posting lately as I've been snowed under with the usual Christmas rush.
Although I've been using my computer for 2 years now, I'm still a novice and need plenty of help, can't find enough time to spend playing around and learning by my mistakes .
The best thing for me about G G & M G is I get to see things that I would otherwise miss out on as none of my friends are interested in computers.
Regards Goof |
