It appears i am new here, tho i did get a newsletter...not sure how.
I read as much information about my computer as i can handle in one sitting, but sometimes get a little ansy sitting in one spot too long.
I am in Illinois and will turn 70 on October 12th. I love being retired and have not found one "boring" moment, tho i am sure i have many.
I enjoy reading books and just having quiet time.
I have 3 children all live far away, and that is hard to handle at times.
I am single and have been for quite a few years, don't have anyone to blame for the ice trays not being refilled
I am looking forward to having a site where i can post a problem, or perhaps help someone else with a problem.
Oh, the email i received was all scrunched together, could hardly read the 3 columns
Is there something i should change to be able to read it?
Ok, enough about me.
Thanx for having this site.

Darlene,
Welcome to the board.
Did you check out the different forums that are have? There are several forums in addition to computer information. Maybe you will find some of them you enjoy also.
Be sure to post any questions you have and jump in and answer questions when you can.
Did you notice the shout box at the top?. If you see someone listed at the bottom as being on line - you can say hi in the shout box if you want. If someone doesn't answer they are probalby on another scren and didn't see the message.
The regulars here are a small group - but are a community.
Hope you enjoy the board.

Darlene,
Welcome! We love to have friendly people join us and you seem very friendly! Just post any computer problems that you have and someone will help you. You may be able to help other people as well!
I know what you mean about sitting in one spot too long. It's always nice to read and have quiet time, though!
Again welcome to our forum! _________________

Hi Darlene,
Glad you could join us once more.
My name is Samantha - aka pepperpot - I'm one of the Administrators here. We may not have met at the old board, but looking forward in meeting you.
I live in Venezuela but I'm a born Guyanese and to keep up with my writing I join this group many, many moons ago
You can read about all of us in this Introduction forum and you can check out my website and read why I choose the name pepperpot (click on the www in my profile)
I'm the one responsible of sending you the newsletter. It was done in Publisher... for most people it sends well for some it gets scramble. I later found out that Publisher does not transmit HTML too well. Oh well... I still got you back here
I could resend it to you if you would like, just let me know.
Anyway... once again glad to have you here and welcome to the board

Hi Darlene,
Welcome to the board ..
I guess you can see my name Sheila and I'm one of the moderators. We are all a great bunch of people here and I think you will enjoy the board and all the forums.
If you have a problem with your computer just post and someone will answer it promptly. There is a lot to do here so feel free to jump in and have some fun. You can also learn photography which is what I like to do or maybe other things. Maybe you can teach us as well...
I'm also know as the cat lady or one of them...and love my cats and pictures...

Hi Darlene,
Welcome to our message board! You received the newsletter because you were once a member at our old board at Excoboard and we wanted to get you back! We have completely revised the forums and added new features to make our board attractive to as large of an audience as possible. Sorry you had problems reading the newsletter. It doesn't reconfigure itself properly at some email services. Here's a copy of the newsletter that you got:
Glad you decided rejoin us! I hope you will find our forums informative and enjoyable. Don't hesitate to ask questions, provide help and information when you can, and interact with other members in the Community Lounge. If you enjoy photography, share your photos with us in the Image Gallery of the Photography category, and enter our Photo of the Month contest next month. Again, Welcome!

Welcome, Darlene; we are glad you found our "scrambled" newsletter interesting enough to give us another try! I am Rike and at the moment I'm on my annual migration to the Southwest; I'm a "Snowbird", live in an RV and stop where the weather is nice which at this writing is in Glenns Ferry, ID. In a couple of days, we will move on.
By the way, you can also ask questions about problems other than computers. We have a Recipe and/or cooking forum, so if you boil your eggs for 10 minutes and they are still hard, we will help you solve the problem .
Check us out, and jump right in!
