Might as well post this question while I'm here also.

My address bar has somehow disappeared from my Internet Explorer, which I don't use much, but, I'd still like to get the address bar back.   I've forgotten how to get it back.

Can somebody help me out???

Thanks!!

1. You should be able to right-click on one of the remaining toolbars and select Address Bar.

Or,

2. On the menu bar, select View > Toolbars. A window pops up to the right and should contain Address Bar as one of the selections. If there is not a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to place the check mark. If there is a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to remove the check mark, and then click Address Bar to place the check mark.

Or,

3. If the Address bar is in the upper right corner and not available, right-click Address, and then click Lock the Toolbar to remove the check mark.

4. Click Address, and then drag the Address bar where you want it.

5. If one of the above doesn't work, you may need to delete the WebBrowser registry key. To do that, go to:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=842903

set a new restore point, and follow the directions in Method 2.

My Thanks again, Repa, for your trouble.   Somewhere between my posting the question, and the last time I tried using IE, it apparently fixed itself.   When I went to try your methods in IE, I discovered I now have an address bar.   Don't know what happened, but, am glad to report there's one less thing to be hassled about.

You are the Greatest.  Thanks again!!   Will report as time permits.

HappyDance
In looking at this post, I found the menu bar for IE7.   I have gone to tools a number of time to select internet options and other things - but for some reason I just never noticed Menu Bar was there.  I just assumed it was gone from IE7.

slap self on forehead or maybe this  Brick Wall

Anyway, I am glad to have my menu bar back.
