I do not know if anyone has had this happen to them, but if so, here is a tip.

When shutting down the computer I got a "Search_Glow" End Program box.  Program was not responding.  For the life of me, I had no idea what this was, so I searched.

This has to do with the Live Tool Bar and the only way to get rid of it is to disable the tool bar.  Well, if I am going to disable the tool bar I might just as well uninstall it. This I did.

Not only did I get rid of the "Search_Glow" problem but I have also noticed an increase in my computer speed.

Search_Glow is a java function.  It can also cause crashes and/or freezes along with slowing up your computer.

I did like the toolbar, but I didn't like the problems.  I had a few freeze episodes but put it down to having too many open windows.  Now I will see if that changes also.

It is just like any other toolbar (searches etc.) but also has quick links to anything under Microsofts'  Windows Live:  Spaces, MSN, Hotmail, etc.

Jane,

I don't have the toolbar either - I have heard that they take up quite a bit of space and add extra unnecessary junk into your system.

This is one of the reasons why I did not continue with the toolbar I create for our group.

Thanks for the info, it's a really good thing to know

Jane,

Off topic ...I love your new siggy and avatar...

I try and keep away from toolbars myself...IE7 is enough to handle at the moment...I can't drag my browser like I used to with IE6...you know things like home print..address bar...can customize but not change things or drag them...

Thanks Sheila.

Why? Because of what's happening to the board?

Many times I get "stuck" and have to refresh the page

The strangest things happened.  It was like flicker and flash, and really slow going.  I was faster than the cursor by about 5 letters.

Another thing happened too yesterday.  I logged off, the screen changed, said log in at the top, but when I looked at the bottom, the green bar was there for about 20 minutes, (I had to leavve and came back). Not only that, but the blue circle in the tab was still turning.  Anyway, I just went to favorites and clicked on another site.  All good after that.
