WoW!...I'm in safe mode with Networking...If you can see this at all...
When I start up I get a ghost on my screen and can't see anything ...I just tried this setting in Safe Mode...
This is the only way I am able to be here if I'm here at all...
I'm shutting down the wrong way each time and hitting F8 to get to safe mode...
I don't know if it's my graffic's card when I am seeing the ghost figure but not the window with the start menu like I see now...
Yes Ruth..I feel like shooting this computer...so sad...I'll check back if possible..Not sure how many times I can shut down this way and get back on ...Of if I'll be able to for much longer...Or if this will show after I post.
What do you think is wrong????? HELP...

Sheila,
I remember you told me that your Hard drive is partitioned... in how many parts?
You should not be networking in safe mode.
depending on your setup partition... your programs are separate... therefore safe...
Do not go on MSN messenger in safe mode!... or any Chat programs _________________

Sheila, if you can run in safe mode and see your screen ok, then try running in VGA mode. You get into VGA mode the same way as Safe mode - hit the F8 key and then instead of selecting Safe mode, select "Enable VGA Mode." You'll come up in normal mode but with a basic video driver. If that works, it could be your video driver is corrupted, or your video card is going bad.
If you make it up ok in VGA mode, try deleting and reinstalling your video driver, or go online to see if there is an update to your video driver and install it. If that doesn't work, you may have to replace your video card.
You need to be careful when running in Safe Mode with Networking as your anti-virus program and other resident anti-malware and security applications won't start in that mode. Only the most basic applications needed to run will startup in that mode. Sometimes you can manually start your anti-virus program. In VGA mode, everything starts up as normal; you just have the most basic video driver so you can see your screen - it will look similar to that in Safe Mode. Let me know if VGA Mode works and if you need further help from there. _________________ Repa

Repa,
You were exactly right as that is what I had to do. I called my friend and he walked me through VGA so I am now able to get here. I didn't want to try Networking again as I could see my anti virus and Spy Sweeper were not showing up...Plus I'm so sick with the flu...
I want to thank everyone very much for coming to my rescue...
I'm back with IE6 now I really don't care for the slowness of IE7 ...a lot of buts and questions coming soon. I'm just happy I got this far and when I'm feeling better I'll check back...I guess I should run some scans to make sure I'm safe...
I still have the Kwee showing on my all programs list but don't know why. I uninstalled it as far as I know. I will take another look in add and remover program and get back to you.
Just to let you all know who much you all mean to me...Thanks so much..
God Bless Love Ya's,

thanks Fay...I'm finally feeling better tonight so I decided to pop in and say Hello! Everyone...
All my scans came out alright, thank good ness...I only have a few minutes and it's night night already...I'll be back soon ..
Oh Repa...When I went into VGA mode...which I still do not quite understand...I guess it forced me to be able to change my screen resolution back to where I have it set right now...where as I couldn't change it in regular safe mode...I have some more questions when my head is not so cloudy... Also NVIDIA If I put my mouse over it says NVIDIA Media Center...earlier that day I tried to darken my screen as it was looking quite lite....If this is my graffic card or not I'm not sure but I must of changed something with in that ...that caused that ghost light on my screen...
I did try using the buttons on my LCD Screen but the - Minus line didn't seem to be working so I had a brightness of 100... which is why I tried to use the NVIVIA to correct the problem...The screen is too bright right now but I'll wait a bit before changing anything for the time being.
A for instance ...The Lovely photo on the Portal page is not the same color I usually see when I log on and it wasn't looking right for a few days before I decided to play with settings and advanced settings...
Ok...thats all I can say for tonight...
Take care Everyone, _________________
