Do you remember the 5 panel monitor?

I guess you should have this keyboard to go with it...it's only $1564 - lol

http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/02/21/optimus_led_keyboard_shipping/

The Optimus Maximus integrates a standalone LED in each of its 113 keys.

Each LED has a size of 10.1 x 10.1 mm and offers a resolution of 48 x 48 pixels. According to Art Lebedev, the keys can not only display images, but videos with frame rates of up to 10 fps as well. Up to 65,536 colors are supported, which can be seen on viewing angles of up to 160 degrees. Image and video layouts are stored on a SD flash memory card, which can be inserted on the back of the keyboard.

I guess that does go with the 5 panel monitor...or gaming or laying down in the dark playing...It's pretty expensive...

I like the standard keyboard I'm using at the moment...which reminds me I may need to get a new one soon...the darn shift key to the left doesn't work right or all the time...and  my keys still feel slippery LOL Smile...It must be all the snow we are getting... OnPC ...

You would probably have to take many classes to learn how to use that one ...Not my cup of tea...

Later,

Sheila is right. It must go with that monitor.   There is about $5,000. in comp equipment that I will not ever see.  I like the simple stuff. If a keyboard does too much, it will go the way of all the other fancy stuff. Cost too much too fix, etc.  Although, I do like the style of the keyboard.

Yes Ruth... Laughing ...I finally got the keyboard today. I saw one I liked a lot it had light for the keys which could be changed to three colors...but I didn't get it...I figured I didn't need those neat lights and it was for gamers...the price wasn't bad...I went to Best buy and the women who was assigned to the computer department didn't know anything about computers or keyboards. She was just filling in ...

I was with a friend and said come on lets go to Staples...The big boss hear me say that and asked me why I was going to Staples...I told her...Wink...nicely of course...I figure if I'm buying something I would like to ask someone who knows and can answer a question...Staples has better customer service...

wwe...

This is one I like http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8022891&type=product&id=1156607399961

I'm not sure I may exchange the one I bought which is Microsoft Pro Media Keybord http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesProductDisplay?&langId=-1&storeId=10001&splC atType=1&catalogId=10051&productId=104138&cmArea=SC3:CG6:DP1924:CL141981 $29.99 at Staples...I have been thinking about getting the one with the lights because it is dark here especially at night...and I have night blindness Wink...an excuse maybe but I think the lights will help me see the keyboard better...

What do you think?

Sheila,

I would say to treat yourself to the one with three lights! You deserve it!!! Besides it looks so cool and high tech, like the add says AND I like the wrist rest!!! Plus, it's a bonus to be able to adjust the wrist rest and to see the keys at night!

GO FOR IT!!!!!!! Very Happy

A early birthday present...Wink

I did decide on the one with the color which makes it a lot easier to see the keys in the dark. I had to make a choice quick as the older one was not working. I do like it very much. Typing is quieter and it's a sturdy keyboard. All in all I'm very happy I chose this one...

Have a nice day...
