I can paste it to word. If I just save it and don't change the extension - it saves it as a .DOC. What extension does yours save under? I can then select the image, copy and paste into another word document but still can not paste into OE. |
Fay,
You do not need to file format of your word document.
Its just a matter of pasting the screenshot into the word document and simply click on save... no need to change file extension.
As you save images in a word document... Word overwrites the images.
Now click on save - now click on the image again either by right clicking and select copy or just copy... then paste in OE
If that does not work, try this... do you notice that in word the image has a border surrounding it and around the border it has some little black boxes? These are called handles. Click and drag one of the top handles to scale the image.
Re-select the image, copy and paste _________________

Sam,
After I paste into Word and Save the word document. I can click on the image and resize. I can past the resized into another word document. I can not paste it into OE.
Don't know why. Could it be an option I need to change in WORD or could it be something with the newer verions of word?
Thanks,
Fay |

Maybe its the settings in OE... not Word
I am on the new computer at the moment... it does not have OE... I will check on the other computer later on and let you know what I have _________________

I don't believe it is any settings in OE. I tried it in both rich text (HTML) and Text formats, checked settings that might prevent or allow pasting into the message, and it works in either and regardless of the settings. I think it might be your old version of Word, Fay, but I couldn't begin to tell you why. _________________ Repa

OK, Now I am pretty sure the reaosn I can't copy from Word and paste into OE is because of my version of Word.
My work computer has Word 2003 on it. So I tried from that computer. I still can not paste directly into OE, but I can copy into word and then copy from there and paste into OE. BUT, I don't have to save the word document first. I just take the screen shot, open a new word document, and paste into it, select the image , copy and paste into OE, Never saved the word document. I don't know why you have to save the document and I don't.
So, on my home computer with Word '97 I can not copy from Word and past into OE even after saving the word document. On my work computer with Word 2003, I can copy from Word and paste into OE without having to save the word document.
Hmmm, don't quite understand it all.

Fay,
My Word is 2003.
I really don't have to click on save either... but sometimes it all depends on the image I am copying. I just told you to click on save to be on the safe side
Some images are just stubborn - lol
Glad you were able to figure out the reason
