I have a silly question:
I have 256mb RAM memory. I am thinking of upgrading to 512mb.
Now, do I buy another 256mb DIMM Module or do I buy a 512mb DIMM module? If I get a 512mb module, do I now have 758mb of memory?
About the only simple thing I see in this is the installation. That is the easiest process.
Thank you very much for any memory help I can get. _________________

Jane, I don't know a lot about it, but I think most computers require "matched" memory, in other words, depending how many open slots you have, if the first one has 256 mb, the other slots should also get 256 mb, and it should be the same "type". Go here:

They can check your computer for memory type and will advise you on what is best. _________________ Rike

Thanks Rike. I used another site for checking memory. It didn't make any statements about which to install. I will look into this one. _________________
