|
|
Hi there,
By any chance did any one here send me a Hallmark ecard to my pepperpot email?
I received two the other day and it just says "A friend has sent you" and the odd thing is that it has an attachment.
From what I know hallmark specifically ask for FULL name and with the free ecards it always has a clickable link to view the card.
I am not going to open it until I find out who sent it, because it looks pretty scary to me - lol _________________

That doesn't sound right, Sam. Don't open it! If it doesn't say who it came from, delete it! _________________ Repa

I agree Samantha, do not open it. I thought you had to have a signature name on ecards. _________________

I agree with all of you and I am not going to open it - lol
In fact, I deleted it!!! Plus so far no one I have ask has confirm it.
Jane, I usually use Hallmark for ecards and they ask for a bunch of information before you can actually send the ecard off - which I like - plus its not in a form as an attachment, its a link (well at least the free one ) - Hallmark has so many services you never know
But signature I have never seen... what do you mean by signature? _________________

Usually you have to have some sort of name. You would know who it was from even if they did not sign the card. _________________

I haven't sent any in a while Samantha. I usually send them from American Greetings I paid for a year. They always give the name of the sender. I have used Hallmark too but they give the names too. I would delete it too. Is if close to your birthday or something special?
lol...just trying to let my brain remember these dates so I don't forget to send cards....

Hey Sandra... nice to see you!!!
Sheila, I am just 5 days before you
Thanks ladies... I did not open it but I received another one this week - its a postcard in a form of an attachment - this time I am going to send it to Hallmark for them to investigate.
For some reason it feels like it comes from them (Hallmark), but it just says "A friend" - not "your friends from Hallmark" ... either way I would not open anything that is an attachment from no one I know
I will post back on the follow up _________________

Thanks Jane
Indeed very interesting.
Even Hallmark can't be safe!
Well I did send a forward of the unopened email to abuse@hallmark.com for them to do a follow-up - plus I also reported it to hotmail.com.
Lucky thing I don't like to open any forwards or emails from strange people _________________
