Repa, I keep forgetting to complete this task!

both of these links that Sam posted, are Green links according to Siteadvisor.   Take a look if you have time, please.

http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

http://www.download.com/Foxit-Reader/3000-2079_4-10313206.html

Considering the small size, I'm thinking seriously about installing it.   If I do, don't I need to remove all the remaining Adobe references in my Add/Remove Programs?

Sam:   Thanks for posting the links!!!

Thanks Repa!

The download is yellow, not green. Read this:

http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/foxitsoftware.com/downloads/15744106/

Only delete Adobe Reader from Add/Remove Programs.

I guess I'll go with adobe then.

When I said the links are green, I was talking about the siteadvisor icon on the bottom of page, above my Task Bar.   How did you find the link you posted?   I don't remember seeing an analysis page like that before, and a Nuisance Score.

Oh yeah.   Before I clicked Sam's links, I googled them, and the search also gave those links, Green checkmarks.   I don't understand that at all.?

You have to go to the siteadvisor site itself. I have never downloaded the Siteadvisor application. Go here:

www.siteadvisor.com

and input the webpage you want to visit/obtain information on in the text box that is toward the lower right-hand side of the screen and click Go. This brings up another webpage that gives you an analysis of what siteadvisor investigated, including downloads, emails, links, as well as comments from independent evaluators. If you want to be safe, you need all the information, not just the green checkmark that the siteadvisor application gives you. I've seen that green checkmark with downloads that they marked as red. So, I really don't trust them without looking at everything, including other users' evaluations of the site in question.

How about going to the new board and check it out so you can see if you like it there. We may move to that board before the end of the year if people like it better. Here's the url:

You will have to register.

Look around and get familiar with it. Most things are similar - a few differences like posting images, but most things are pretty easy to figure out. Everyone that regularly contributes is over there now, and most seem to like it. Performance is better day-to-day, very few times that I have experienced any slowdowns. Still haven't decided for sure if we will stay there, but it looks pretty likely right now.

Ask questions if you can't figure out how to do something.

We are not monitoring this board frequently any more, WC. Go to the backup board and post your inquiries there. I've answered this post on that board. We will probably be making a decision soon as to whether we are going to stay there or not.
