Samantha,
He is a good photographer as well as brave....I was in a catagory 5 tornado when I was a little, little kid...They are rare in my neck of the woods...thank goodness.

You are right! I just read his story - crazy kid, but just looks at the photos.
I've never been close to a tornado, but I guess it's pretty scary... even more so for a child

Geez, those clouds look scary - like living things, reaching out for you! I think I would drop my camera and run!
Unless you are tough like nails, like these chasers, if you ever see something like this, it must haunt you for the rest of your life!

That's why I wouldn't move to Kansas or an area where tornado's are an issue. I was so young when the one hit my area. I remember my mother calling us inside the house and saying "Look at those clouds" then it started, you talk about raining cats and dogs. I ran under a bed with my sister and hid until it was calm. It didn't take much time but I do remember the damage it caused. I'm glad I was very young. We had to move because the National Guards declared the area a disaster. I wanted to stay with my grandma but had to stay with my great aunt (who wasn't as much fun as grandma). She was a old school nurse and very strict...so I thought. We had to take a bath in an old fashioned kind of tub, because they didn't have a regular tub and boil water. ...Now I'm thinking of the antiques she had in her house.
We all got back together not long afterwards...It was a happy ending...

Imagine they have people who get paid to chase these things. I'm not that brave at all. Of course being in one did scare the heck out of me.
