Go ahead... have a laugh... so yeah... I'm a half hour backwards  Rolling Eyes

Venezuela creates its own unique time zone on Sunday, putting the clock back half-an-hour on a permanent basis. President Hugo Chavez says that an earlier dawn means the performance of the country will improve, as more people will wake up in daylight.

"I don't care if they call me crazy, the new time will go ahead," he said

Wow!...Now I'm really confused with that time change. I know we are an hour off now..Your time and my time..but we put the clocks back ...which made it nice for that extra hour sleep at night..ahead in the spring back in the fall..
I guess I'm too tired to figure this one out tonight..

See ya later..

Don't think to hard Sheila lol. We wake up when it's still sorta dark out. THey will wake up in the perfect daylight, and still have more sleep then us.

LOL... that's exactly what he is saying. But reality is a different thing

The sleep hours are still the same... we may wake up when it's bright, but we come home when it's pitch dark.

We have to school hours here... morning and afternoon... before the afternoon kids would be coming home at 6pm (the sun is still somewhat out) now they are coming home in total darkness.

We are doing things half hour later than before, that is all...  Confused

That half does sound strange.  But, no matter where a time change is it will interfere with schools, jobs. etc.  I remember years ago when Florida stayed with one time all year.  But, they decided to get in with the other states. May too much trouble for businesses.

Myself, I would like just one time and leave it there. Doesn't make a difference which one. When I worked nights I always seemed to get the shoft when time was set back so I had to work an extra hour. One hospital I worked at started paying for the extra hour.  Now that was nice.

Lol...thanks for explaining Sam...Wwe you are funny my friend and made me smile...but I wake up and it's nice and bright...this hour difference is a pain in the *censored* at time for me...If I have to go out in the afternoon and run over time I have to drive home in the dark...gotta get my glasses fixed as I have night blindness so driving in the dark can be nerve racking for the time being. It also make the winter days shorter as it gets dark around 5pm...

Jane...that was nice when you got that hour pay..you should have because you worked it.. Wink ...

You know a half hour change doesn't seem worth changing the clocks..my thoughts...Thanks Sam for making this clear for me..

Take care everyone and have a nice day,

Gee, Sam, only half an hour? What difference does that make except a lot of trouble! He must have done that just to show that he could! You know, your guy reminds me so much of the one we have here. Ours would too, if he could! Ah, wouldn't he love to be...
Oooops!
But to stay with the theme - I wouldn't mind my clock to be back by 2 or three hours, lol; that way, I'd get to bed at a decent time Very Happy .
Try to make the best of it. Enjoy your half hour of sleep! lol
