|
|
For some reason, after reading the info that Repa give about the Rule of Thirds and being a point & shoot person, I was wondering if any of you has ever thought about what favorite subject you like to photograph?
In other words, what would you consider are your favorite subjects and what would you consider your least favorite?
And if you do have or not, why?
Just curious
I like flowers & nature things. Because they are each unique in design.
The least subject of mine is photographing people eating... can't stand it... seeing a still photo of people with open mouths - lol _________________

1. My grandchildren
2. Scenery, sunrises and sunsets
3. Portraits
4. Wildlife, especially wildlife in action
5. Flowers and insects, especially butterflies
6. Night scenes
There isn't anything that I particularly least favor - you can get an interesting shot out of almost anything if it is composed properly. _________________ Repa

Sorry Samantha, anything is a favorite to me. Yes, flowers, because they are always in bloom. But, you can tell by my photos, I'll shoot just about anything. I really don't have a favorite. _________________

My list is similar to Repa's, except: No grandchildren (don't have any) and no portraits. You've probably seen from the photos I've posted that I'm not a "people-shooting" person
However, my niece is pregnant, and when we get back to WA next month, I am planning to have some sessions with her - before and after. _________________ Rike

I like flowers... I guess that isn't a secret...but I'll take a picture of most anything if it interests me..
I don't have any grandchildren either but when the nieces come over I like taking photos of them and the grandniece...
Cats I like too... _________________

Thanks everyone for your inputs!!!
I find that portraits are the hardest to come around... why?... I have give this much thought - lol - since our last Photo Contest (still like the challenge though)
I would think that kids are an easy subject --> they don't care - But adults?!........ JÁ!!!

Ok Repa... I dare ya
Take one of my least favorite - "People eating".... not just plate & glass in hand... but with some forking food into open mouths - You can add effects to the photo.
What's in stake... Hmmm... I'll prepare a "meal to remember" for you & Granny
When we meet - lol _________________

Ok, here's one:
Batman getting his fill:
Not sure if that's food or "finger" food, but tell me that isn't cute!
Update: I thought I had another shot of this kid - Halloween 2006 at a church party in Birmingham:
Now, can you honestly tell me that this kid isn't cute stuffing his face? I win!!! So, when are you coming up for a visit? Can't wait to taste your cuisine! _________________ Repa

Lol... nice try!!!
Yes... Batman is a charmer... yes he is cute stuffing his face... but as I said... kids are easy subjects.
I said "People eating"
I understand the rituals of preparing, cooking and serving food to love ones, I understand some would want to preserved such memories in photos, yet I have not seen a decent photo of this kind. I am sure you know what I mean (Yours is different)
Lol - Repa... Lets say you got Hor'devours down
Hehe... finger food
So.... when was the last time you had West Indian Cuisine? Can you guys can take spicy? _________________

Now Sam, just what do you mean? You said "People Eating", not "Adults Eating!" That is definitely a "people" eating in those photos, even if he is little! And cute! And, he is no loved one of mine - just a kid at the party that caught my eye. But, you're right, adults would not make a great subject for this. However, I'll look for an opportunity at the next family reunion we go to and see what I can come up with.
I love spicy, but Granny can't eat it - stomach problems with spicy foods. Hope you can make it up this way soon. _________________ Repa
