This past week I saw the newest Geeky gadget which happens to be an
analog turntable that plugs into your computer and allows you to convert analog lp's into digital files so that you can convert and create your own CD's or DVD's. This is better than hooking up your Stereo system to your computer
and the price is about 399.00. _________________ Ted /prophotoimages

As the owner of lots of LPs, I think I like this one.
Thanks. _________________

An old turntable and a preamp module (radioshack used to carry them not sure about now)and plug into your computers Audio input... I'm using a magnetic style pickup not a ceramic or crystal style( most stereos had these cheaper pickups they have a higher output voltage and eliminated one or two stages of pre amplification) they have enough output to possibly drive the mic or audio input without amplification I have not tried due to their higher tracking weight and poor audio response compared to magnetic pickups I got an turntable the preamp a new pickup and software for about $200.00 |
