I got a Graphics Tablet for Christmas:

Here is my first work of art, lol:

It's cool. I'm looking for suggestions for using it.

Hi Rike,

What graphics tablet did you get and where did you get it? How do you like it? Can it be used with image editors like photoshop?

Repa, I bought it from computer geeks (www.geeks.com) on sale for $39.00! It is from DigiPro, 8x6 (which might be a bit big - at least it seems big).I only got it today, so I don't really know what I can do with it - I thought it was cheap enough to try and see if I would like it. It says there is a trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS and Corel PainterIX. I don't know if it then will work in photshop elements 4 (which is what I have). I will experiment and report on my progress here.

Your graphics editor will work with whatever Image Editor you have. The graphics pen takes the place of the mouse and will give you geater control over your editing.

Congrats on the Tablet. Now you are moving.

I agree with ghanson, and Jane - thanks for the compliment, but I couldn't hold a candle to Grandma Moses!
I figured out how to put handwritten comments on my photos, using MS Paint - haven't been able to do it in Photoshop, but as long as I can do it in one, I'm happy.
So far, for all who asked, I love this tablet and as of now it is doing everything I wanted it to do. It comes with a USB cable long enough so it can sit on my lap, but since I have a cordless keyboard and mouse, if I ever buy another tablet, it would be cordless, also.
So, for all of you who are wondering: For a beginner's try-out, and at this price, I can highly recommend it.
Oh, and it has a 1 yr warranty.
