I've finally added the feature of owning houses!  Players can now own houses, and furnish it however they like!  I will post screenies later but now I'm adding some more features to it.

oooo like Lotro. In lotro you kill stuff and loot the corpse and then give the loot of say an eye or something and they turn it into a trophey, which then can be put in the house. Also when fishing in it you can give them the fish and it can also be made into a trophey. God I'm obsessed. This game will be better though. |

By owning house do you mean that house is the one you are placed in, or that house is your possesion?

Placed in or is your possesion? I'm still not understanding but let me tell you about the house feature:
You must buy a house and it all depends on the seller and the house quality. (players can sell their own houses as well). You can go in your own house and furnish it however you like. The house you buy is all yours. (which makes you the owner). You can have roomates and etc.

i'm really curious how you pulled this off, some of things like placing stuff in your house sorta seems, well impossible to me.
I could think sorta of a way to do this, but it would involve some major scripting, and it would probably cause a stupendus lag.
I know how the buying/selling works.
Roommates I can kinda see how that works.
But furnishing? Care to leak some info??
The only way I can see furnishing to work alone would be massive and involve useage of lots of memory and library space.

lol yeah it does require some scripting. Furnishing involves the inventory size for your scenery object (aka your house's inventory size). Currently I ask the player to "drop" the items in the house. But later I will make a complicated script that is called "furnish mode" that allows the player to use an easy tool to place furniture.

ooh ok, well creating, "furnish mode" sounds like a super fun task.

Sweet this game will be any HP fans dream. I hope no one like EA decides to take over and make their own mmo like they were gonna coz they would make it with too many limits and just wouldn't make it right unless Jk rowling and other fans got involved and EA actually listened to ideas and notes and of course base it on the books. Liike what we're doing but I know if they did it would be crap because EA are starting to bore me with their non-changing and boring Harry Potter games. |

EA's MMO record has been really bad, I'm pretty sure they won't ever try a Harry Potter Mmo
Anyway I actually don't like housing and buyin houses and ect, but still kinda cool
