Why does it say EA Games has some of the copyrights? Unless you used some of their work, it's not. Also, even if you did use their things, it would be illegal.

They have rights to making Harry Potter Games
To get around that you need permission from Warner Brothers or The Author since they have more authority the EA games.
Which we are trying/doing.

I own a website, have programmed games, so i think I should know about copyrights. Since you are not taking anything from EA, it's not their right. If you say it is theirs, they can do whatever they want with this project. Also, by saying Warner and EA hold the Copyright still doesnt make it Okay. Grow up and copyright it yourself

You cannot get around the permission by doing this.
I think this game is on the right track, but is heading for bumps that could rip it apart.

By the way guys I had started talking about the game on a fourm I didn't give Leaky a news offer because u didn't want to the now. This guy started arguing with us.

EA shares the right to make the game mmo/console/computer/ect, we can't relase a game unless we get some copyright consent from WB or JK Rowling. Since the own strong copyrights on it.
WE relase a game and say we aren't shutting it down Jk Rowling or WB WILL SUE us (Blooblat lol) because we don't own the rights.
We haven't failed either, they didn't say no, they didn't say yes.
Also Owning a website doesn't make you king of copyright laws 
@Calum: Thats one of those forum were everyone on it thinks if you game doesn't have nextgen quality, we better all beak it, you need the world most amazing game to get away with all compliments, you still find people complaining about WoW All the time.

First, I know I am not the "copyright king" i just say I have experience. Even though you need their permission to publish the game, it doesn't mean it's their copyright. the logo, and harry potter is. But if you ever change your mind, like when you don't get permission, I'll be glad to alert ArcadeJumpers who might publish your game and advertise for it. Also, They could make a cool logo, did u see my sig?

Not What I meant. You don't understand my point. The code you program belongs to YOU! You, the community (That's why i would make it open source, google it  ).
I am aware EA released HP games, I own several. What I'm saying is: You get credit for programming it, and having the idea, BUT, you dont own harry potter. I am aware what you're trying to say, but it is your Copyright.
This is an example for this:
Copyright: "your name here"
Harry Potter Logo, Harry Potter Font, and name Copyright WB and EA.
There, thats how it would look like. But like I said, I have friends over at AJcom, I think they wpould publish it if you didnt get permission, you'd just have to change names around

Ooh ok, I'm getting what you mean, well yea then. haha didn't look at it that way.
Rc Standard is going to be open source soon too which makes that benefitual.
One thing though is the benfit of making the game of the HP/Hogwarts theme is that it gains instant interest. I think if it got to the point where we could not get away with publishing the game with the hogwarts/HP theme then we might just change things in a final attempt since making this game would suck if we had to throw it away
