June 22, 2009
Today marks the day when Hogwarts Online first came about after two years. Notice the improvement:
2007 gameplay:
2009 gameplay:
Notice the texture diffrence and everything. Also Death Eaters have evolved over time. Combat engine went from just punching to intense spells and stuff. We are still working on it and it has come a long way. We have a growing community that grows every week!
I would also like to thank the developers and researchers for their help on the project. The team has been growing since 2007. I remember at one point it was just me and towcar as the team.
Awards are here as well. They aren't much, just titles lol. But here they are:
Longest staying developer: Towcar
-Towcar has been with us for two years and has never left us since then. He's seen Hogwarts Online evolve since the early stages of development! I would like to thank towcar for his participation in Hogwarts Online.
Most enthusiastic and biggest fan: Patzo3000
-Patzo has always had this "happy go lucky" attitude and never had doubt in Hogwarts Online. Always excited for the game, and it showed too with his all caps sentences and overuse of smilies. He's been with us since 08 and read almost every topic on the forum. He came up with his own word "sweesome" mix of awesome and sweet lol. Thank you patzo for your enthusiasm in the game!
Fastest developer: ffsegamer
-Ffsegamer always was quick about his work. When I asked him for a texture, he always had it within minutes to an hour. The kid was a really fast developer so I'd like to thank him for his texture contribution to Hogwarts Online!
The questscaper: Hollowminds
-I've known Hollowminds for a loong time. I've known him before this game even started. Hollow used to work with a game that I made (but never finished) called Questscape Online. So I told him that I was making this game and he decided he would stay and help around with the forum. I also remember when his name was slayerofotoll. Before he was Hollowminds lol. Thank you Hollow for your help with this game!
The Sketchup user: Calum 81@
-Calum has always used sketchup 3d for his making of models. He's had some trouble exporting into the correct format that we need for our game but he never gave up on his models. Thank you calum for your help with our game!
The wonderkid: njam2
-Njam has been with us for a while too, about 2008 I think he first joined. Njam was the only Linux user and he really wanted to play the game, but it wasn't supported by Linux. He then left for a while and came back and decided to help out. He's always wanted to do something too. He wanted to be an author and write books. He never finished his book though lol I think. He then wanted to be an actor which is his current interest. He switches a lot in terms of his dreams lol. Anyways I'd like to thank njam for his great interest in the game!
The changing modeler: Baskyn
-Baskyn always had this urge to make a new model whenever he started one. The kid was a bright kid and he always worked hard to improve his models. He even tried texturing every now and then. I'd like to thank baskyn for his contribution to the game!
Ok, that is it for the awards here. I'd like to thank every developer and person who has contributed to the game as well. It's been a long and hardworking two years from getting rights and working on the game. And remember, BETA signup is in July 10 and lasts for two weeks so make sure you get your spot! So let's try to work on those models we need to finish up so we can get this game out in November!

Yeah, before I joined I went and just read every topic. Enthusiastic? lol thats me. In all honesty I always had a dash of worry. A Hogwarts MMO is something I had really wanted. When I saw this was currently active, I knew I had to make sure it was completed. When I saw that idiot mocking the game.I felt I had to stand up for you. I could not let this die. When anyone bashed this, I became afraid Hogwarts Online would stop production. lol
So I stand up for you, I research some stuff about Beubatons and Durmstrang and BAM!!!! I am a part of the team. From researching to writing scripts, I had a SWEESOME BLAST!!! On that note, sweesome would not be my word without Hogwarts Online. I came up with it when I saw that the board was quite inactive. So thank you Bloobat.
To all the team: YOU GUYS ARE THE MOST SWEESOME PEOPLE I HAVE EVER CHATTED WITH!!
I hope you all make it far in what you pursue and may the hair on your feet NEVER FALL OUT!!!!
HERE IS TO SUCCESS AND GOOD REVIEWS FOR HOGWARTS ONLINE!!!! HERE HEERE! _________________
