I have to announce that this game will have to be shut down. 
We are in huge risk of getting sued for this game, WB suggested I either pay tons of money for the rights or just stop making it.  AND not to mention, several people keep telling me I'll just get sued by WB if they find this site or anything. I dont want to get sued, nor put my researchers and developers in risk of getting sued. I really wanted to finish the project but it looks like it cant be I'm very sorry to say. Too many damn copyright issues cover this project. I dont have thousands of dollars to spend either for these rights so as a result the project is CLOSED. This really sucks because I pushed for my rights, WB replied to my email and said that it will have to be shut down. We've come a long way and I still want to thank everyone for their support and I also want to thank my developers and researchers for their contribution to the game. Most of you were very supportive of this game and I really wanted this game to finish: people would have no idea. I guess I should've known what I was getting myself into 2 years back and not get tons of people hyped about it because it will never finish. If someone wants to buy the rights I'd be glad to hand the project over to them but it looks like it wont happen.
This forum will just be an "off topic" site, no updates about the game though or anything. I may come on every now and then but you all can use it to socialize.
To put some light though in things: I will start production of my OWN game called The Generation I: Origination. This game wont have copyright issues or anything because all the ideas are from me. It's a pretty advanced game though, meaning it requires some advanced work to be done. If you all havent heard of it before it is an FPS/RPG game (switch from 3rd person to 1st) that is based on the medieval/fantasy age. I can supply details about it if you're interested.
Again I am terribly sorry about this.

Mate, I'm really sad for this having to happen, but I guess better cancel then get sued. It's a bummer that this had to happen, but if you want to, I can help you make that other game The Generation I: Origination if you want to. I will unfortunately stop coming to this forum because my job as a researcher is over I don't really know anyone really good on this site, so if you want to, contact my email. guys, you did a great job from what i have seen, and to be honest i really wish i never came accrossed this web site only because i am so horribly let down by it, i dont blame anyone but honestly i have been looking for a harry potter rpg game forever and finally found one and was let down, thanks for trying bloobat, you did a great job |

I'm glad you contributed to the game and I'm sorry this had to happen.
I would like you to work with me on The Generation I: Origination though if you want.  I would love for your help.
And thanks greenguy, sorry this couldn't be pulled off.
However when I end up going to the video game developing industry in a few years (probably like 7 years) I will try to make an even better Harry Potter MMORPG.

Yes I plan on making another game. Of course it wont be based on anything though.  Just my ideas and stuff. Just PM me your email again, because I might've forgotten it...

I feel the same way. I was so shocked my feelings were beyond angry. Damn them is right. The seemed very "cold blooded" towards things. I mean, why not just let some fan based game be? We weren't doing any harm at all.

Also I'm very pissed at WB myself. Cant stand copyrights and their stupid rights. They sent me an email informing me to shut it down for "good" purposes. Never wanted this stupid... "incident" to happen. I never even feared them doing that: but I didnt want to put everyone's money in jepordy neither for mine.
However I will change things: Once I'm in the game industry (probably during or a little after college) I will make a Harry Potter MMORPG. I will, I'll get the rights and everything. No one will stop me. Not even WB.
According to the letter I recieved, WB is planning on creating their own HP mmorpg and claim that they will be "sorry" for the disappointments that they have caused. Sorry my ass... They dont care at all how me or every fan for this game feels. I've been working on this for two years, put my every bit of time and effort in it, and all I get is them telling me to close it. Cant start a fundraiser either unless I collect thousands of dollars which wont work...

Hey bloo I'll still stick with you since ur making another game . It's just such a waste I mean sorry is just a word, sorry can't replace time, sorry can't replace work, sorry is only a word, if they really knew the meaning of sorry they wouldve at least done something better than leave a little email saying they're sorry but w have to stop. It feels like a slap to the face to me. But what is done is done so our only choice is to move on.
This is regards to the new game: The Generation I: Origination, it is a fantasy game you say? Or like medieval? I will happily make skins, textures clothes etc. For you. Keep in touch all |

Thanks guys for your support. Sorry this all came to an end, I mean WB "claims" they want to make their own MMORPG that is HP based now. I doubt it, stupid fools.

I'll let you know if I need some texturing or anything when I get there. I've just been writing out the game now so it's been in its early stages.

I'm glad you're willing to help as well. I'll try letting you know if I need any help, but for now I have to start working on advanced modeling (as much as I dont want to) because the game is pretty advanced. The gameplay is sort of similar to fallout 3's AI, NPCs.
