lol yeah. It's something I'll defaintly consider. They never mentioned that and they do know I'm under the age of 18. However some of our team members could've been 18 or older... But I'm going to really look into this and some light could be sheded. Very Happy Right now I've been working on my new game and contacting companies and whatnot. I cannot really release too much info yet but I will once I start really getting into production. However, an HP MMORPG is still on my mind. Wink

SWEET Very Happy
ive been learning python to see if i could possibly work on one in secret with panda3d

EDIT:
this is ollivanders unfinished, i made it for my projects and if this can get back together (hopefully Razz) it can be used for it. i am actually making the entire diagon alley and the insides of the shops.
Its not finished, i would just like to know what everyone thinks. I still have to add a few things like boxes and stuff inside, and it needs to be textured. I also have to import it into blender and give it the actual glass of the window.

That's a pretty good model. Very Happy Yes panda3d is a good, open source, program. And if the game does come back, it wont be made by Realm Crafter. Probably a more powerful engine. Razz

will you be using an engine or a library if this comes back?

this place it too inactive, i dont see sweesome anywhere Sad i dont like that at all.

I have been talking to my dad about it and he says that if they really want us to stop they can sue us for "Making them look bad" bull crap. can they even legally sue kids for it?

That's good too. Wait, what about RC?
And here's a little secret: right now I've been making my own engine. Wink But I've also been looking into Unity.
yeah it is. Sad
They probably can't sue kids, but maybe our parents..

i was asking if realmcrafter is worth a buy.

your making you own engine? how do you do that? I have tried unity and i actually like it.

I can't stand companies like WB.

do you know any websites or tutorials that teach good game texturing? i cant find any and im really bad at textures. :/ how did you get your textures?

Hmm that's a good question. I'll give you my honest opinion: it isn't worth it. Realm Crafter is probably the worst possible "slightly expensive" engine out there. I know this sounds a bit harsh towards it but it's the truth. $100 sounds like a good deal for a game engine right? Well it's not. Not for a crap engine at least. Had I used my head when I got it in 07, I would've saved myself $100 less towards a pretty good engine like Unity. But anyways Realm Crafter is an engine with poor graphics, poor performance, only makes MMORPGs, and overall sucks. The scripting language isn't powerful and you are soo limited it's crazy. You cannot go far with Realm Crafter. Only thing it's good for is little 7 year olds (I have nothing against them lol) or those who want to make a game as a hobby and not intend on letting it go commercial or whatever. You absolutly cannot go around selling RC games; it's too crappy for it. I give them one thing though: it taught me the basics of game development and that's it. Other than that I feel I wasted money on this.
About my game engine: it's a little secret I've been keeping for a while so you're the only person who really knows. Wink Even though I'm saying it on a public forum that's dead lol. I've been working on it for about a month and it's slowly progressing. To make one (I started from scratch) you'll need knowledge of C++ and game programming (I recommend C#). It's a lot of time and dedication. If I'm not successful, I'll probably end up using another engine. I've been trying to program it to develop Xbox 360 games as well. I'm going past my limits here. To develop one you'll need the right tools and knowledge.
Unity is good but it sometimes doesn't meet my requirements.
I agree. Razz
About texturing: there's different formats and ways to texture. There's photoshop which is a very powerful texturing application but it's a lot of money. There's also Gimp which is just as powerful and it's free but harder to use. First of all you'll need a model. Secondly, you may want to use pictures as a reference and draw it out. It's hard I know. But it depends on what you're trying to do of course. Wink

@Calum
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Very Happy
@baskyn
RC or Unity? Unity is far more better, so get that instead if possible. However Unity is a lot more challenging and doesn't make it easy like RC to make a game: making it powerful since the only way to make it easy is to cheat it.
Oh so you want to make an engine? My suggestion is to first try making a game since you'll have to know how to use an engine well. An engine consists of many different types of engines in one package. Now they are very hard to make and take a lot of dedication. You can implement a scripting language in there (or modify one) as well. I myself am still learning. Smile
Oh I see. I'm sure there are some sort of tools that may help you in a software or video tutorials.

Yes possibly. But that conclusion will be confirmed once my game I'm currently working on is done. If I get enough money to purchase the rights, then I'll keep that in mind. I've been dedicated with both ideas but I must stick with the game I'm working on at the moment. Smile Hopefully it'll be finished by next year and I always keep Hogwarts Online in my mind. Wink If so this means better graphics and gameplay. Also I'll try to get it on PS3 and Xbox 360 networks.
