This has seriously left me wondering. Confused I checked the copyright site (government site) and I found this:
Code:
How do I protect my idea?
Copyright does not protect ideas, concepts, systems, or methods of doing something. You may express your ideas in writing or drawings and claim copyright in your description, but be aware that copyright will not protect the idea itself as revealed in your written or artistic work.

What does this exactly mean? Does this mean WB cannot stop us from making a Harry Potter MMORPG?

Now I know WB has the rights and everything and people can be sued and stuff, but I'm wondering what this message says.

Yeah it's something to defaintly ponder about. I believe they trademarked it (or did they). But will that protect your ideas?

WTS!!?!? Um... Mmmmm... *GEEK MODE ACTIVATE!!!!*

I think it means even though we put up "Copyright WB", we were dead from the start.

No, that wouldn't be the reason. Just letting them keep their rights is fine, that wouldn't screw things up.

Yeah this leaves me wondering. So what I did was send the US Congress a letter asking about this. They haven't replied yet, and it's been like a month... I hope I get some answers soon.

All of the models (except some items) are made by Realm Crafter so you wouldn't be able to practice animating them. The format is in an encrypted format which cannot be opened; so I'm not sure if you want that. Smile

I have no idea what software they use, but all the models we used came from Realm Crafter. We just retextured the models and made them look a bit better.
