Omaha, NE - An Omaha house is busted and bursting at the seams with cats. Both the Humane Society and Animal Control officers tell Action 3 news this is one of the worst cases of a cat house they have ever seen.
The home, owned by Sue Johansen, is located near 66th and Fort. The cats are diseased and sick with fleas and parasites. The city slapped posted a comdemned sign on the house Friday. Vets say there was diarrhea, cat feces and urine all over the home. More than a hundred cats were pulled out.
Dr. Amber Horn says, "On a scale of one to ten with ten the worst, it's a nine. The ammonia is around the house, and really bad for the cats giving them upper respiratory problems and ammonia smell is bad for people too."
Officers also found one rabbit in the home. Vets are still evaluating and staring medical treatment of the cats. They are not sure how many will have to be euthanized. Officers say they gave Johansen a ticket about three months ago for having too many cats. Johnasen is now facing animal cruelty charges.

A Dog's Soul
Every dog must have a soul, somewhere deep inside Where all his hurts and grievances are buried with his pride.
Where he decides the good and bad, the wrong way from the right, And where his judgment carefully is hidden from our sight. A dog must have a secret place, where every thought abides, A sort of close acquaintance that he trusts in and confides.
And when accused unjustly for himself, He cannot speak, Rebuked, He finds within his soul, the comfort he must seek. He'll love, tho'he is unloved, and he'll serve tho'badly used, And one kind word will wipe away the times when he's abused. Altho' his heart may break in two, his love will still be whole, Because God gave to every dog an understanding Soul! Author Unknown
