another interesting take on the whole johnny and june thing (and there is a lot in there about how johnny was after john carter was born) is I WAS THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED by marshall grant (the bass player~that liked to blow things up lol). the book spans from the time he met johnny up to and right past his death.
