POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!! For the sake of members who cannot see the movie just yet, please use caution when discussing the plot of WOTN, thankyou!
I won't let anything out of the bag yet but just wanted to say how much I loved Joaquin's performance. Robert Duvall was awesome as well. But really the movie was all Joaquin! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did! _________________

I'm back from my trip to Austin, TX for the preview of Reservation Road. I, also, got to see WOTN! Don't worry, I would never think of ruining it for anyone, but I do have my opinions which are only true for me. I will post my opinions about Reservaiton Road in it's own forum. Now, for WOTN.. do not believe anything negative about this movie!!! I'm serious!!! Many reviews I've read are only giving it about 2 stars. Obviously, those people don't know what good acting is and definately not a big Joaquin fan!!! The movie is even better than I thought it would be! And his acting was superb!!! I will definately see it again and again! That's saying A LOT if you know me--I rarely watch the same movie twice, unless it's Walk the Line!!!! I have pics of movie tickets (& me) ; ) When I find out where to post them, I will. I am very excited for all JP fans who will view this movie, It's Joaquin at his finest!!! OOOHHH, and he's soooo HOTTTTT!!! _________________
Thank you, you guys! Can't wait to see that movie...
I'm flying over to New York in December and I really, really hope I will catch it somewhere - it doesn't start in Germany 'til March next year... _________________ Thanks, Bine!
Yep, got to see it last Friday, and will be going to see RR this Saturday. WOTN was great. Go see it if you haven't yet, or when it comes to your area. I have to see it a couple more times though to really give a detailed review. I am just that way. The thing that really pops out so far for me, is the raw emotion JP portrayed after the car chase...(not going to be a spoiler here)... And backing up a little, to think he was in a car body bolted to the back of a truck doing this chase scene during a bright sunny day is a testament to his ability to 'put it on' when the scene 'asks for it'... Wahlberg was awesome too. _________________ Everyone please catch my BlogTalk Radio Show: White Rose Talks about the U.S. Department of Peace, 3 - 5pm CST Sundays, and available for download. I just got home from seeing this movie. (yes a week late) Had some family issues come up and didn't get to see it any sooner.
I'm really bummed because I think I missed the steamy sex scene. I had to sneak my daughter and her friends in to see Saw IV and because a parent had to be with them I had to sit in the seat for a few minutes. When I got into WOTN the club scene was on. So was the steamy scene before that???? I guess I will have to see it again.
OK my thoughts.....Joaquin, cute, adorable and sexy, sexy man!!!! I loved his entire look in this 80's movie. The hair, earing, clothes everything!!!
Now for the acting, I have to say he was wonderful, full of intensity. The movie was all him! I felt his emotions especially the part after the car crash. He carried the movie. I thought Eva was going to have a bigger part from what I read in all the interviews. She played her usual role of the good looking, sexy girl. Mark, typical role. Joaquin just brings a certain excitement into his movies. I can't get his little face out of my mind. His wavy hair, green eyes and that sexy earing..... _________________
The scene you missed Jammin wasn't very long. It just means you need to see it again! _________________

I waited three weeks to see WOTN. Below are my thoughts and feelings about the movie.:
I just came back from watching this. I hit the "reply to message" button without seeing what everyone has written about their feelings toward WOTN. I want to express my thoughts without any outside influences.
I didn't think I would like this movie because I have seen so many of the screenshots, heard about the actual filming from other fans and read a few reviews. I also waited until now to see it and I thought, going into the theatre, that I probably have hyped it up too much in my mind. How could it be any good since I have been waiting to see it for so long. It could not live up to my expectations.
Spoiler:
I was so wrong. I kept waiting for it to suck but it kept my attention and I was very impressed with the plot development. I was entralled by Bobby Green and his relationship not with his brother but with his dad. Of course, you can't go wrong with Duvall. I feel that Bobby was his favorite of his two sons but he was disappointed with his choice of career. That he could have made a better life for himself, not just being a nightclub manager or even a cop but someone who had a secure future. His dad wanted to have him in his life because he sees so much of himself in Bobby but those similarities also kept them apart. Two very strong men that put family first but Bobby chose to make a life for himself away from the shadow of his dad.
When Bobby jumped out of the window and fell on the fence, I almost yelled out "Oh shit!"
I feel that Joaquin's performance was powerful and captivating. Bobby was not someone who lived a clean life but you can see the potential in him and the love he had for Amada and his family. He had a quiet rage within him that is not easily portrayed by an actor. I know many people have said that about Joaquin but it is very true. Not many actors can bring such depth to a character that does not have many redeeming qualities on the surface but that he has a strong moral center that Joaquin allows Bobby to reveal layer by layer. I was impressed that he allowed Bobby to have an air of bravado but also a very tender, emotional side.
What I might say has probably been already been spoken but I just had to express how I felt when I left the theatre.

That film is all JOAQUIN.....what a Joaquin fest it is.
He looks F******* gorgeous in it......every scene. That 'sex' scene at the beginning was a let down but it is rated here a '15' so it was never gonna be that HOT!!!
The film in my opinion is mediocre, has a dull script and an unbelievable plot. Totally predictable ending too.
The music is not the right for the time either......Mendes is just a 'girlfriend' despite what she has said since too!
If I didn't love Joaquin.......there would be nothing to see. HOWEVER, I do love Joaquin and he is smoking hot all the way through even when he becomes a good guy!
I will go again of course but only to see Joaquin.
Joaquin really does need Sabine to choose his roles....... _________________
