It's been 14 years since River has passed. Being a long time fan since the beginning I surely miss him alot. He had taught me alot things over the years.He was a beautiful person inside and out. He spoke from the heart and stood up for what he believe in. So tonight and every year that has pass I blow a kiss to the skies and knowing that he is a beatuiful angel watching over his family. He is surely missed and there will never been another person like him again but it was a wonderful gift that God gave to us for 23 years.Thank you River for everything you gave me. Your gone but your spirit lives on and you'll always stay in my heart and my memories and that is where you will stay.

Honoring and remembering a passed loved one is the highest compliment that can be given...Sadly, there will never be another "River Phoenix" but thankfully we have the memories of one of the best actors of our time!!! _________________
If anyone has already mentioned this before, I apologize for repeating. There are some wonderful home videos of River being posted on youtube. Sky Phoenix is posting them on occasion. He was a friend to the Phoenix family and was River's assistant/band manager. I've always been impressed with the way River spoke out about all the issues he was passionate about. I'm going to link one of sky's recent videos (it's really audio of River). It was recorded when River was filming Stand By Me in 1985. He was only about 15 years old. This conversation shows how precise his (or the family's) plan was. The sad part is that when you hear what he says, and look back on his life, he was actually on track with "The Plan". Around age 20 he was really beginning to focus on his music and had moved the family back to the "country". Please enjoy and think of River during this special season. God bless!
Thanks Lynna! That was really cool. He was so mature at such a young age. Even though he is not here on Earth, it is nice to see that his wish is being fulfilled through his family. _________________
