I had this all prepared yesterday, hit the submit and got booted out-- angry So, here I go again, but only wiser, I will copy and paste first!!!! bah

First of all, I did a little research and found this interview with Terry George, regarding the filming of RR, and almost, word for word, the very same as the Q & A done at the preview.  I thought we had gotten some "inside info"....NOT!  You can click on the URL to hear the interview:

http://stadium.weblogsinc.com/cinematical/podcasts/George.mp3
or
stadium.weblogsinc.com/cinematical/podcasts/George.mp3

However, here's a little bit that I didn't hear on the above link that he told us at the Q & A, you may already know this, if not, Enjoy!

The movie is based on a novel by John Burham Schwartz.  It's not sure as to whether it's based on a personal experience with the author or not.  After filming, Hotel Rwanda, Joaquin approached (Terry) George with the idea of making a movie out of the novel.  It took awhile for George to put it together.  It was a difficult script to write due to the height of emotion and rage of the context.  Joaquin and George interviewed MADD parents to get a glimpse of the intensity of emotion and how to deal with it.  Joaquin got to visit with a father who had lost a child and it was in that interview, the voice of a hurting father full of rage, anger and emotion, that Joaquin felt he could bring his role to life.

George goes on to tell us a bit of (True) gossip...On set, while filming a scene with actress Mira Sorvina, who btw, just recently gave birth to her first baby,  Mira, being very "top-heavy" from nursing, I assume, nearly exposes herself from the top down to the belly button!  You will know the scene when you see it!  Although, George said they had the dress altered for $25k, which sounds a bit steep to me, he may have meant $2500, but we heard him say $25k!  I think I would have bought her a cheaper dress!!!  The dress was still a bit low in the front after the alteration.  George said his daughter watched the preview and wanted to know if they were having a "sex party" after seeing the scene w/  Mira.  In the scene, Mira and her husband are hosting a party at their home and her ex-husband, Dwight, comes to the door.  When she opens the door, it looks like she is pulling her dress up!  George said they tried to laugh as much as possible to keep things going.  I can understand why.  Well, I had a great time at the festival, and found out that although the main actors don't usually appear at the smaller festivals, the producer, writers or directors do!    Here's a few pics and Terry Georges autograph, sorry, cameras were not allowed in the theatre-

This is a pic of the Driskill Hotel.  The producers, directors and writers held workshops here for the young, inspiring minds who are starting out!

This is me, standing in front of the Historic Paramount Theatre, where RR was previewed.  This is one beautiful theatre on the inside!  Wished I could have taken pics!!!

Here is Terry George's autograph...my husband said I probably made that man's day cause he didn't see anybody else ask for his autograph!!!! LOL!!!

Thank you Reba for sharing that with us.
I love Terry George's accent.
$25,000 or $2,500 either seems a lot to me just to alter a dress. That must have been one hell of a dress.
