Joaquin beaten by Daniel Radcliffe???? NEVER!!!!
HOT MOMMA GOSSIP
HARRY POTTER star Daniel Radcliffe has fought off Hollywood’s A-listers reportedly including Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix, Ryan Phillippe and Orlando Bloom to land the lead role in a new movie about a slain photo-journalist.
The 18-year-old Radcliffe will appear as photographer Dan Eldon in Journey, a film chronicling the civil war in Somalia. Eldon who was then also 22, was one of four journalists stoned to death by a mob in the African country in 1993. And Eldon’s mother Kathy believes Radcliffe was the perfect choice to play her tragic son. She says, “We resisted a lot of older actors because Dan was a boy emerging into manhood.”
A compilation of Eldon’s 17 journals and thousands of pictures on which the film is based - has sold 200,000 copies since being published in 1997,and a legacy that has won admirers including Madonna and Julia Roberts
NOTE: Although the site is called 'gossip' I think it's reasonably reliable as I have seen this article on other celeb sites. _________________

I can understand why Joaquin wasn't their choice because of the age factor. Not his superb acting abilities! Although he "is" youthful and young at heart! _________________

Yeah - as much as I love Joaquin, he might be hard pressed to pull off 22 again! _________________

Have to agree with you guys. What a tragic story. I am glad though, that maybe this film can celebrate what this young man accomplished in his life. Thank you for posting this Karen.

Daniel Radcliffe is a great actor so I think he can do a reasonable job bringing the young man's life to the screen. I agree that 22 would be a stretch for Joaquin but just don't tell him that I said so. _________________

Yeah i have to agree with you guy's, he would be pussing it to play 22, but the role probably would be better with not such established Actor's as the others, but good luck to Daniel anyway.
Thank you Karen for posting it |
