I'm gonna start my little thread about Keane simply because I'm the Queen of Keane..............
To begin; Random facts about Keane;
The creature/alien in the Somewhere Only We Know video is called Roxley
The song 'The Frog Prince' is based on musician Johnny Borrell
The band are from Battle, East Sussex
B sides include; The Walnut Tree, Closer Now, Untitled 2, Let It Slide, He Used to be a Lovely Boy, Snowed Under, Fly to Me, Something in me was Dying, Thin Air and Tyderian
Tom Chaplin wrote; Closer Now
Tim Rice-Oxley has a degree in classics!
Albums; Hopes and Fears (2004) Live Recordings 2004 (EP) Under the Iron Sea (2006)
They have signed with Island Music, Universal Music, Zoomorphic Records
Cover songs include; With or Without You (U2) Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong) That's All (Genisis) Your Song (Elton John) Dinner at Eight (Rufus Wainwright)
Tom Chaplin was born in March and is the lead singer and plays accoustic guitar and the organ/keyboard.
Tim Rice-Oxley was born in June and is the main songwriter and plays the keyboard and bass guitar.
Richard Hughes was born in September and is the drummer.
Tom and Richard LOVE Hob Nob buscuits.
Tim's favourite 'Keane' song is Fly To Me
Hopes and Fears is a Brit Award winning album
Tom is often compared with legendary rock star Freddie Mercury (i.e. having similarly powerful voices and quite a stage presence.)
They named themselves 'Keane' as an old friend called 'Cherry Keane' left the three of them money in her will to help the band.
Tim and Tom met as their mothers were both pregnant at the same time. Consequently they both named their sons 'Tom'.
Keane originally had four members; Tom, Tim, Richard and Dominic Scott.
Tom once wrote a song with Duncan Elliot called; The Silence of an Alien
Tim Rice-Oxley is married :( and yet amazingly gorgeous!!!!!!!
There is an easter egg on the dvd STRANGERS on disc one
That's all.............for now :D _________________

I saw KEANE at the 02, July 21st 2007..................All told it was AMAZING
Arrived early to join a fairly short queue....but as the day went on EXTREMELY poor security and queuing systems from the O2 meant I wasn't as close as I probably ought to have been. However I won't complain at all because I was on the barrier (not on the Tim side of the) ego Ramp...where I could see everything pretty clearly!
Tom and Tim looked so gorgeous and Richard was pretty fine too! Tom just looked and sounded absolutely amazing! He did his own accoustic (solo) version of Broken Toy and most fans agreed with me that it was simply beautiful. Well done Tom!!!
Unfortunately all night long it was incredibly hard to get a picture of Tom (impossible to get one of Tim and Richard) still on the ego ramp...they're always moving!! But almost as if Tom knew I was waiting for it he came and sang Crystall Ball to me (and others) whilst posing for the only half decent photo I got of the world's BEST FRONT MAN!!!
I was so sad come Bedshaped... because it was the end of the gig
But it was a brilliant moment to be 'Snowed Under' towards the end of the concert...
Even Tim smiled a hell of a lot more than he normally does so he must have been having a good time too!!!
*Andy desperately holding onto the back of Tom's jeans as keane boardies grab the 'golden voice.'*
Can't wait to watch it on DVD when it finally comes out! Just so I can look out for a glimpse of me absolutely wow-d in the front row! or trying desperately to sing in tune to Somewhere Only We Know!
I LOVE KEANE!!!!!!!!!! _________________
