On Thursday 21st June 2007, here in London there is an event called Lights Out London.
It is to raise awareness for saving energy/Global warming crisis etc.

Between 9pm and 10pm all Londoner's and business's are being asked to switch off all non-essential lights and appliances.
Many business's have supported this and lots of restaurants are having candle lit evenings with cold buffets etc.
My own employer (Government)has supported it and all lights will be going off etc in all our buildings accross London. Downing Street and Houses of Parliament too!
Even the famous Coca Cola lights at Piccadilly Circus are being switched off (the first time since 2nd World War).
I will be turning off my lights/computer etc so why not everyone?!! Its about time we saved some energy and this sort of thing does raise awareness I think.
Al Gore has inspired us here in UK! We also have LIVE-EARTH Concert in Hyde Park c coming up!

it is between 9pm and 10pm TONIGHT 21ST JUNE. So you girls could just do it that time or at the same time as London??
Anyway, its the thought that counts, not the actual time!
Its a small thing but but if everyone did it it would not be small!

It will go by fast hazeleyes!  The benefit it will do for the earth is totally worth it.  Think in terms of your childrens future and your future grandchildren.  (ok you may want to think that far but still...)

From your lips to God's ears. grin
No, it will be fun and I want my boys to understand that what we do impacts the rest of the world.
I might have to keep the a/c on though. It might be a little too hot without. sun But it might rain so that will help. rain

As for grandchildren, not until they at least finish elementary school. bah
