Though this isn't really a vacation story, it's a trip story.

I had been begging my husband to go to the Zoo.  Since we live in the middle of nowhere the closest one is 2 1/2 hours away.  Finally one day he surprised me and we went.  I had the best time and took sooooo many pictures.  I want to go back again!!  It seems like you can never see everything and when we were there the lions weren't~they had a sign up that said "coming soon".  Hopefully there isn't someone in Africa trying to capture a lion though, I mean I hope they will just be coming from another zoo to ours.  I love to see the animals but you know most of them looked so bored and lonely~like this polar bear

The turtles were to "busy" to be lonely though...

I agree with you Stef ,It's nice to watch them but it's better they live in the wild .I took my kids to the circus last year ,they had a show with elephants and I felt so sorry for them they weren't enjoying themselves at all,the man who guided the elephants was trying to get the elephant on the floor to lay down ,the poor animal didn't really didn't want to do it .As finally he was on the floor the man ran up the elephant and jumped on his belly cuss .Everybody went oooh because it was so sad to see .Even the dogs that did a performance looked scared .I'm not going to a circus again with wild animals. But if a zoo takes good care of his animals I love to watch it .
Love the pic with the turtles welldone

I love Zoo, I always did. But it must be good place for animals. I think that Zoo helps preserve many animal species and teach children to love nature.
