Thanks so much for this thread! I have been watching a LOT of River movies lately, but I get sad... Being a fan of Joaquin AND River, I really like this vid from youtube. It's lovely, but sad. All credit to the person who made it.
I love this interview with River because it was at a point in both his life and career when he was so full of promise and youth. The quality is not very good but is worth watching.
I found this on YouTube and found it interesting. It is cool to see him just be himself.

i haven't been watching his movies a lot lately...it does get sad. you mentioning that makes me stop and think of what movies of his i have and what i still do not have. so now i'm on the hunt for the mosquito coast, explorers and a night in the life of jimmy reardon. i had sneakers but sold it??? and can't for the life of me remember why!! i have all his others : )
mel...i'm just amazed about that joan rivers video. i might have seen that when it was on tv oh so many years ago....it was very interesting to watch!! and i had of course never seen that message one to u of iowa! that was neat, he was definitely just being himself.
What a talented, beautiful, young man, whose life was taken way too soon! RIP, River- forever in our memories, never to be forgotten~ _________________
cruising YouTube and what did i find?? footage from "seven brides for seven brother"!!!!!!!!!!!! it's been soooooooooo long since i've seen this!! that show is, of course, when i fell for river (bowl haircut and all lol). so now without further ado...let's take a trip back to the early 80's with this clip!!
