I wish to congratulate you all for forming the First legitimate legislative body to be formed through democratic means. While this is a significant achievement in itself, it should be no means for Parliament to Slack off. To this end, it shall be amongst the priorities of Our Government to fully develop Our yet incomplete systems of government; recruiting talented individuals to serve the Crown and the Government. A well-developed government is necessary to the preservation of the rule of law within Our state and the most vital of all things.
With that being said Government should work proactively to expand our society through an aggressive outreach, attempting to draw new citizens into Our realm and to develop ideas which will increase their desire to be active participants within our common society and government.
I urge this body to become active in its constitutional imperatives for the common good of Devonia. Only through Prudence and Activity shall Devonia mature into greatness. With the previous being stated I move for an Immigration Push. One that will allow for government to function Properly. I also call for the eventual creation of Territorial Entities in which Legislators shall be collected from each for Parliament.
It is with great happiness that I wish you all a Happy Holiday and a Good New Years. _________________ His Royal Majesty King Rafael II of the House of Aluveaux. I appreciate that as yet, Parliament has been somewhat inactive since the election. I offer my apologies for this, but stand by what I said before; the most important first step is to establish Parliament's own rules of procedure. I have spent much time writing my Parliamentary Procedures Bill, now filling two typed sides of A4 paper, which is why it has still not been produced. I hope you will be pleased to hear that I expect to be ready to present the Bill to Parliament within the next 24 hours.
I remain at your service. _________________ Christopher Wright MP
