Dear Honourable Parliament Members,
As our role in diplomacy in the micronational world grows, The question has been asserted; Who are we? Are we successionalistic or are we simulationistic. If we choose one of these how will we shape our policies and other legislation around that. The choice is not simple and it should come directly from the People.
I ask of Parliament to define our state as some legal entity, after which the persuing of relations with other micronations shall commence. At present I deem it necessary to persue relations more dominately with the Empire of the Alexandrians, as doing so will extremely increase our international clout.
I know that Devonia is small with a large number of Inactive citizens. It is for that reason that I urge all Citizens to go out and seek people willing to become Citizens; you are not lone in this task. I go out everyday looking for a way to increase our exposure to those seeking a Micronational Home. I have gone so far in my efforts that I recently brought about the idea of using Google Adwords like Tolossa. If this is chosen it shall not be free and It will depend on our non-profit donations. While I understand this is undesireable, my creativity with this issue is little and I encourage Parliament to have open debates upon the issue. I also urge to have a formal national Citizenship drive in which We all try to get citizens and those who get the most citizens shall be awarded an honour.
The Royal Household expresses great elation over the passing of a Procedural Resolution in which the First cornerstones of Parliamentary Democracy have been set. It is now that we must come together and decide who we are through Anthems, official flags and official seals for offices and departments. One particular thing that highly excites me is the possibility for the creation of Provinces (or their equivilents) in our Kingdom. Once population permits Parliament to do this, I highly urge it to be created.
It is not race nor background that brings us together, It is the belief in the Devonian Ideal (which should be defined from more vague terms, by Parliament), it is this which holds and keeps us together, and the ignoring of it can only seperate us.
