As Prime Minister I wish to give a very large thank you to Michael Dervin for stepping in when he thought I was absent. This is the kind of citizenship we need here in Devonia! I fully expect others to step up to the plate when the times call for action.

However, since I am not absent I shall continue on. Michael set up some deadlines for the elections and rules to register a political party. Here are the deadlines and rules we shall operate under.

Elections to be held December 5, 2007; Ballots to be sent December 4, 2007
---- Ballots to be returned no later than midnight December 5, 2007.
1. Deadline for registration of Political Parties – November 30, 2007.
2. Place you Political Party registration in the office of the Prime Minister.
(see proper thread there)
Include in the registration:
A. Name of Political Party
B. List of members
C. Do not give your Party platform, goals, or policies. These are campaign items and may change over time. Do not register what you would do if elected. These are items I expect to read in your campaign speeches.

3. Registration of voters: Deadline for registration is December 3, 2007
A. Place your name in the thread in the Prime Ministers office.
B. Send an email to Austi_Scot@hotmail.com (this so you can receive a ballot) that email is austi _ scot @ hotmail . com (no spaces actually)
C. You may not stand as a candidate unless you are a registered voter.

4. Registration of Candidates:
A. Place you name in the thread in the Prime Ministers office declaring your intention to stand for election to the Parliament.
B. Your registration should include your name, email, and Political Party if you are a member of one, or it should say if you are an independent candidate.
C. Use the Kingdom Square forum to campaign. Put you party platform there and your individual campaign speeches.

5. Per the Constitution the Prime Minister is responsible for running this election. Once there are more citizens we will set various offices and commissions.

6. Remember, you may be called upon to fill several position within Devonia and then to give some of them to others as our population grows.

You say 'midnight': which time zone are we using? I know we have citizens on both sides of the Atlantic, so there will be a difference of several hours.
