An Act establishing a Formal Foreign Affairs Agenda The Kingdom of Devonia
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Parliament of The Kingdom of Devonia in Congress assembled acted upon by King, and it is hereby enacted and declared, That a foreign policy for the purpose of a national identity be, and the same is established; to be situate and carried on at the seat of the government of Devonia, for the time being: And that for the well conducting of the business of the said Ministry, there shall be the following officers and persons, namely,—a Minister of Foreign Affairs, a Deputy Minister, a Department Chief, an Executive Translator, and a number of Ambassadors.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Minister of the mint shall employ as many clerks, workmen and servants, as he shall from time to time find necessary, subject to the approbation of the King of Devonia.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the respective functions and duties of the officers above mentioned shall be as follows: The Minister of the ministry shall have the chief management of the business thereof, and shall superintend all other officers and persons who shall be employed therein. The Deputy Minister shall also superintend all other lower officers. They are answerable only to the Minister. The Department Chief shall oversee the implementing of requests bequeath upon to them by higher orders. The Executive Translator shall sink interpret and translate all official news either by Devonia or any other body unto the Embassies or Sovereigns direct. The Ambassadors shall receive from the Chiefs all the orders which shall be guessed to have come from higher powers, with regards to Diplomacy.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That every officer and clerk of the said ministry shall, before he enters upon the execution of his office, take an oath or affirmation before the Chief Justice of Devonia faithfully and diligently to perform the duties thereof.
SEC. 5 And be it further enacted, That there shall be allowed and paid as compensations for their respective services which shall be set by the sovereign or unto the Parliament, which shall be under the subjugation of the King or Upper Council.
SEC. 6And be it further enacted, And to the end that the necessary information may be had in order to the making of such further provision, it shall be the duty of the Minister of the ministry, at the expiration of a year after commencing the operations of the said ministry, to report to Parliament the practice thereof during the said year, touching the composition of the years work of diplomacy and other business pertaining to this ministry.
This Bill shall take effect on July 3rd 2007. |
