I need help with RAM

Hi I have a desktop computer with 1GB or RAM. I want to upgrade to 3GB but I don't know what I need to get. I have a 32 bit operating system, an AMD athlon dual core processer and Windows Vista Home Premium. What RAM should I use? There are so many.
