i have cut out some of the verbiage but added parenthesis to some of the exact words in the email. the email tells us a method by which we can perform CPR on ourselves if for example we have had an extremely stressful day and begin to get a severe pain radiating up our arm and into our jaw or in some other way realize that our heart is not beating correctly. The key is to begin coughing as hard as you can while taking deep breaths.
"The person whose heart is beating improperly and begins to feel faint has only about 10 seconds left before losing conscious. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, the cough must be deep and prolonged as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again. Do not panic but start coughing repeatedly and vigorous.
Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital."
