Right before I got off the site earlier, I went outside to check things out because when I got home at 2:40 PM, there was not a cloud in the sky... come 5, it was cloudy! I go outside and look up at the sky. A few dark clouds. All the sudden, about 500 feet away, this lightning bolt flashes in front of me! I got a really great glimps of it! I could see the little fragments and such off of it. It scared the crap out of me! It was fricken worth it though! I have never been so close to lightning before. S*** I'd do it again if I had the chance!

i wonder if that storm was any part of what we got last night. crazy loud thunder and it split my neighbors tree.........

hm..cool baker..reminds me of when i was 8 and lived in maryland..lightning struck just across the dirt road in the fields. id say 150 feet away..like you could feel the heat. and the house literally shook and the sound was right with the lightning..thats how close it was lol..it was AWESOME
